No way Valero dominates any division.
He is so hyped up and I dont even know why. With his level of competition of course he is gonna look good. I think Soto should fight him so he can take some of his hype with him. I see Soto stopping Valero later on in the fight.

i think alot of the hype has come from his various sparring videos against guys like Morales, Santa-Cruz, Antillon, etc. where he more than holds his own and this was when he still had like 12-13 fights.

I can understand a lot of scepticism in regards to Valero.

But I truly do think a lot of the flack coming his way is a backlash against the hype he had on him initially, which bordered on ridiculous.

Edwin is very flawed, but I think his unorthodox is what will make him a hard guy to beat.
I dont usually show this much faith in guys with records as weak as his, I dont rate him that much but I rate him enough to being a top guy at lightweight in the coming years. Especially 135 continues to lose its elite fighters.

I'm in the same boat. I don't normally put a lot of stock in power punchers either but I am making an exception here with Valero. I believe he will be able to box intelligently when he needs as his level of competition rises which granted isn't much to speak of right now beyond Mosquera. He's hyped because his power is undeniable. Weak competition or not it's not like his 19 first round KOs were staged and no one has yet been able to make it to a decision against him. Although he is chasing after Pacquiao he has stated that he wants to fight JMM to put himself in a position to force the Pac fight.

i don't think he can dominate the lightweight division. his defense is kinda loose and his chin is yet to be tested. he would have been better off at superfeather. there are a lot of big and strong LW guys who can pose huge problems for the kind of style he has.

Nope. If he fight JMM or MP. JMM will counter him and KO him in the later rounds. MP will pressure him make Valero rely on a one KO punch but Valero will end up like DDiaz. Anyway, if Valero fight JMM or MP, the result will be the same; he will be put in a hospital for another brain surgery.

Good point about Valero is that he has his power. Even though, he fought C-class and some B class fighters, he still KO most of them in the early rounds.

No.. He can't dominate 135 as long as Marquez and Pacman is fighting there.. ONce they move up, yea....

He can move down to 130 and wear the crown though..

You're waiting for nothing because Valero already did prove himself in the champion Mosquero'a backyard.. His backyard... :deal Young fighters dont do that everyday..
