For a ko, you have to knock the guy first. That won't be easy for Zuniga but of course it's not impossible.

    I'm expecting Bute to WIN.

Zuniga has fought only 2 southpaws in his last 11 fights . . . since he started to fight in U.S.

He lost to Daniel Santos via UD on the first, encountered problems with a medicore David Lopez (24-11-0) on the second before stopping him in the 12 and last round.

Guest what . . . Bute is a south paw. :yep

did you see the Andrade fight? The referee wasted time so Bute could beat the count. So, yes a referee can prevent a KO by taking a lot of time to count.

Bute went down in the final 5 seconds of the fight, and was up on his feet in less than 10 seconds. Whether the referee extended his count or not is irrelevant since Andrade wouldn't have had any time to follow up and Bute had clearly made it to his feet in sufficient time.

Yes I did . . . the mere fact that there was no inquiry nor investigation on that incident means the refs action was just right. And your insinuation will remain an insinuation forever.

It could have been an injustice if the ref would stop the fight 5 seconds in the last round when the guy is winning in all the judges scorecards . . . the fact that he was up before the count of ten.

Scores for that fight were 117 -109; 115-111 and 115 -110 all for Bute.

It seems most of the time that ESB thinks Zuniga is very over-rated (even though they don't rate him highly at all to begin with), but this is not me. I also have been watching Bute for the last couple of years and he's quickly become one of my faves....

I think this will be a hell of a fight, guaranteed, and while I hate for either to lose, I guess I would like to see Zuniga get some glory finally. Especially after he dropped his SMW credentials for a fight with Abraham that for SOME reason he got "srewed" out of his shot. Zuniga stays in the game and gives good performances each time in the ring, and I loved it when he was the first to welcome Oganov to the World Stage.

Sorry Decebal....you know I'm Bute fan, and it's quite likely he will win. I just would love to see Zuniga get some bigger fights, and get his "glory".

Not a lot if they announce a local referee as the Zuniga camp says they are pulling out if they do  It on the news fight website

Yeah. After the last fight, I think he arm punches, scores points and plays keep away.

He went down with less than 10 seconds left in the round. People get confused because they held the bell for the count.

Now, what you COULD argue is that the ref should have stopped that final onslaught because Bute was defenseless. His hands were down when Andrade came to finish him off. But, it was a championship fight.....
