Kessler vs dawson.

Kessler needs to start fighting guys with a pulse again anyone even thinks of putting these two in the same ring. Unless he lands something big that Dawson doesn't see coming, Kessler cannot beat Dawson.

 

I've never seen a fighter receive so much hype for LOSING a fight as Kessler. He has fought mainly bums, beat a couple of decent fighters in Andrade and an ancient Markus Beyer and took 4 rounds from Calzaghe and some people have him in their top 10 p4p!!

I see it as pro-Calzaghe propaganda, revisionist history at it's finest.

Kessler was barely top 25 P4P when he fought Calzaghe. He got his arse handed to him, now some "boxing fans" have him in their top 15 for beating two tomato cans?

My apologies, it still doesn't take away from what i'm trying to say. Since his loss to Calzaghe, Kessler has fought a nobody in Sartison and Haussler, who had fought once in two years and that was a draw, and Kessler fanboys have the cheek to say that because he knocked out Haussler he would breeze through Froch, Taylor, Bute etc. atsch

 

I'd be really really suprised if you could point to anyone making that argument, even on ESB: home of the unsupported argument...

 

Cobbler, to be fair i've seen it mostly on the BBC Boxing forums - that place is far worse for unsupported arguments.

 

Ive always thought that Kessler was unproven and very basic, but everyone on here seems to think that he is good enought to ko Dawson, Taylor, Froch, Bute, and whoever else that steps up to him. I have no idea what they see in him that makes him that damn good. Granted, he has looked very good against everyone except Calzaghe, but who couldnt look good against the sartisons of the division? I wanna see him do his thing against someone with talent before I concede to him being a killer of elite fighters.

 

Kesslers a bigger puncher than dawson and the way he fought against Calzaghe actually made him one of my fave fighters. Kessler by decision or late KO.

 

You could get away with this statement ....................... a year ago.

As it stands now,its flat out wrong. Adamek is seen as the better fighter, for what he's accomplished, while Kessler has been sitting around doing pretty much nothing, failing the only significant test of his career.

Even if Kessler beats Dawson - and this could happen via KO because Dawson fights in spurts and often losses focus - it doesn't necessarily follow that Kessler is a better fighter than TA, although it would strengthen his case.

 

why do so many people on esb get a hard on for kessler?

atsch Too solid? Don't you know Dawson arguably throws the best combos in boxing. He has great handspeed, great jab and a great body puncher. He also has great movement that he can use to attack a robotic fighter like Kessler from all angles. You act as if Kesser is some slick defensive counter-puncher moving all over the place. He's straight up and down basic fighter whose style is easy to figure out and and talior made for a guy like Dawson. I believe Dawson would give him a boxing lesson really and it's too bad we won't see it becasue your boy Kessler isn't as confident as you are about his chances against Bad Chad since he turned him down.:deal
