Who do you guys think is the better fighter? I figured I'd make this thread since they had 2 fights and Hopkins career is almost over and we've seen how Taylors career has gone since their fights.

Hopkins is the better fighter but it's not just because he beat Pavlik, he proved through out all of his career.

Well their could of been arguements against that if had he not fought and beat Pavlik the way he did because even though his career was better he dropped 2 close decisions to Taylor. A lot of people in this forum thinks Hopkins loss those fights.

I think he lost those fights, but just because Jermain had the right style to beat Hopkins, it doesn't really mean he's the better fighter.

Well I disagree, I think Hopkins won both fights against Taylor. But that's besides the point because that wasn't the question I was asking in this thread.

Hopkins is a better fighter through and through its not even close.

Taylor just matched up well stylistically but even in the first fight Hopkins had Taylor wobbling all over the place at the end of the fight. Not to mention Hopkins was old by the time Taylor got to him.

I thought Taylor beat Hopkins twice. But Hopkins is much better

Hopkins is by far a better fighter. His ring intelligence is far beyond Taylors. It's not proven because of the way he beat Pavlik though, a lot of knowledgable fans saw that going down the way it did. Hopkins has proved it by his overall career, at different weights and by adopting various different gameplans suited to beat his opponent.

Hopkins is the better fighter overrall, he just struggled with JT's style. Taylor wont go on to achieve the things Bhop has achieved thats for sure.

Hopkins is the better fighter overall, Taylor lacks dicipline and motivation!

i'd like to see them fight again....although it would probably have to be a 170 catchweight if it did happen.
i see carl froch is talking past taylor in some interviews, what he will do after taylor...i dont see him beating taylor at all..

    anyway...who's better...i'm a b-hop fan big time..so thats what i'll say.
