The fight went EXACTLY the same as any other Arthur Abraham fight the only difference being that his opponent tonight had the chin to withstand Arthurs power. I've been saying this for ages, as soon as Arthur fought someone who could withstand his power he would be in trouble because he takes time off regulally during fights and relies on it wayyyy too much. Weight had NOTHING to do with the performance tonight which is what people seem to be saying. What would he have done differently if he wasnt "drained" he was nearly identical to every other time ive watched him !!
Abraham fights in spurts. There's long stretches during the fight where he doesn't do ****. And I'm not just talkin about tonight. I'm talkin about every one of his fights. Still throws a lot of wide loopy punches as well.
It's a really good point. Someone with the chin and the power will KO Abraham. Not that there's tons of guys just walking around that fit that description in the weight class, but the Abraham Myth did take a real hit tonight.
Absolutely agreed....and not only was it an opponent who could take his punch, it happened to be a TALL fighter that for the biggest part of the fight used his range and threw straight punches behind a jab.....:yep. :hey
I think Abrahams current issues are weight related, We need to see Pavlik get on board and quick. I can see Abraham moving up very soon.
Message to Kelly Pavlik and fans: Abraham is ****. Take the Germany Tourist Guide and go pick up the $3M. If you dare fighting a **** fighter.
AA's ability is shown when his opponent is actively going to KO him. that is when he is at his best form..he wants the fight to be the test of both fighter's chin
If you have read ANY of my previous posts you will know I am FAR from a Pavlik fan. Just called it how I saw it.
