Today Enzo Maccarinelli was destroyed by unheralded Ola Afolabi. Dominated and knocked out. What was established today is that Enzo cannot take a heavy punch, as he simply could not stand up to the less experienced and less talented Afolabi's punches.

The question must now be asked: what is the value of Haye's destruction of Enzo given that Enzo has a glass jaw?

Perhaps it is time to rethink the wisdom of throwing Haye into the ring with a man-eating tiger like Vladimir Klitschko.

Did you watch the fight? He was clearly winning on the cards so it was hardly dominated and knocked out.

Knocked out would suffice. And completely outsmarted, he fought a terrible fight.

I did think that myself as soon as I seen Enzo get sparked but I don't think there is any doubt that Haye can bang. It's not as though Maccrinelli is the only KO on his record.

Enzo is by no means the best boxer, but he was clearly winning every round. That punch was perfect would have given anyone trouble. I suppose it couls weaken Haye's chips to bargain with at heavyweight.

To be honest i always thought that Enzo was over-rated.... I never gave Haye much props for beating Enzo...

I gave him props for killing himself to make the weight in-order to give the fans what they wanted..... Its the fight we all wanted to see, and Haye took it on...

He deserves our repect for that no matter what

Nonsense thread, Haye only hit Enzo clean 3 or 4 times in 2 rounds and took him out. That guy tonight hit him clean dozens of times and only took him out when Maccarinelli was obviously shattered. It has no bearing whatsoever on what Haye did.

Haye was by far the best fighter in one of the worst divisions in the sport. You do the math. Maccarinelli is a 'B' fighter at best.

He wasn;t dominated. Ola maybe at best won 3 rounds or so but still, Enzo got ktfo.

    No he was not.

    No he was not.

He won the majority of rounds, you're both wrong.

To the OP. Are you really comparing what Haye did to Enzo compared to Ola? That's also laughable.

Haye has no competition at CW and will more than likely beat all but the top 5 HW's in the world so why shouldn't he go after the title? RJJ and Spinks got a shot straight away when it was 'unwise', Haye should get the same shot.

RJJ was LH and allowed to skip Cruiser straight to heavy.

Where the **** did I compare accomplishments? I'm talking about their standings. Both undisputed dominant champions at weight so they equally should be allowed to step up.

You don't see the lower weight guys having to start over when they step up do you? No they get shots straight away, THATS what I'm saying.
