The result of this fight would have been the same even if there had been no cut, khan would have stopped him down the stretch, and even a prime barrera would not be able to cope with khans speed and skill, the only thing is a prime barrera would certainly have landed quite a few decent punches along the way, but if khan had a half decent chin even a prime barrera would lose to a UD

Dreadful post. Barrera's peak was 122, he was also superb at 126, very good at 130. He could never have fought Khan at his peak. However, I'd still back a 126lbs Barrera to beat a 135lbs Khan. Don't let the fight fool you, peak Barrera was on a different level to Khan.
Sorry MAB was no where near being a lightweight in his prime. So its a misnomer i am afraid. Though its interesting how those two defeats to Junior Jones have been lost in the mists of time to some fans. However would you call the Barrera who lost those fights the guy who busted hamed up and defeated Morales twice. Probably not
We would never know how a peak Barrera does against Khan. But Khan has a chin problem, and Barrera in his prime would have exposed it. Although Barrera prime was way below the Khan weight and size.
