Zuniga was an optional defence. Andrade was the mandatory. Showtime chose Zuniga. Larouche would have wanted Stieglitz for Bute...:-(...clearly, he must have thought Bute might not have got over Andrade...:think
Zuniga and Stieglitz are not the same kind of boxers but I think the result would have been the same. Both are just not on the same level.
Yes. According to the rules, Bute is not allowed to fight anyone but the winner of Andrade v. Tsypko after the 23rd of July, unless it is a unification fight. But...Bute is planning a further voluntary defence for the 19th of June and the mandatory fight (v. Andrade, probably) for October. There's also talk of Bute fighting the winner of Taylor v. Froch next - this would be a unification fight. We'll see...:good
Yeah, but at least Zuniga had the punch to stop Bute...Stieglitz had nothing he could have beaten Bute with..:think Sometimes Stephane wants Bute to fight poor fighters...Brinkley, then Stieglitz...:huh...I don't like that...
I am still confused. No Mads Larsen. His not inside #15 ibf - so Bute cant fight him cause the next fight isn't a mandatory ??????????????????
No wonder. Some here make fun of me. Responding Larsen wasn't in # 15 and therefore wasn't a subject to the division.. I just have a simple question. Who should/have to face Bute next? Is it a mandatory or not ?
Normally he should fight a mandatory but you know sanctioning bodies.......they aren't consistent so he might not have to.... Larsen brings absolutely NOTHING to the table.
Thanks for responding. Bute needs a good solid opponent next to prepare for Andrade. "Larsen brings absolutely nothing to the table" Your so wrong. Bute couldn't find a tougher opponent !!! Seems Bute can pick and choose his next opponent - we just have to wait and see .
Even if Larsen let's say can still fight at some world class level(altough I don't think so) no american tv would want it.That's why even Miranda would be better.
