The same Fedor that ALMOST this and ALMOST that but ALWAYS won regardless. That's more than Anderson Silva ALMOST beating Chonan but then losing.

This would not be as mismatched as people think. Silva's got height, reach, and speed advantage. Fedor would not knock him out in the octagon, Silva's to elusive. Fedor comes to him and possibly gets caught by Silva's punches or knees.

Typical of a Brazilian to be biased for another Brazilian.

That's nothing if Fujita punched my mate Dave he would break Fujita's hand with his chin and win TKO.

    as for you..

and i quote "silva can beat most LHW'S"

only goes to cement my view that ESB needs an age restriction for members...

One morning the phone rang at 3:00 a.m. in chimbas house. He picked up the phone and a woman asked,
    - "Is this 555-1111?"
    - "No, this is 555-1112." chimba replied. "Oh, I'm so sorry for disturbing you." The woman said.
    - "That's alright," chimba said. "I had to get up to answer the phone anyway."

colour me a picture of your favourite fighter sweetie, its playtime soon, bless ya!

ok stop right there. Everyone at 205? :patsch he can beat some of the contenders at 205 as he showed against james irvin but when he starts fighting guys who has power. He better be careful cuz one shot against the likes of liddell-rampage-evans-silva could be good night for him.

    What a load of bollox.

Liddell, Rampage, Evans and both Silva's get beat by Anderson.

The only person who could beat Anderson at 205 is machida.

I would favour prime Andertson SIlva to beat all those guy's in their primes.

Its a shame that Dana isn't doing the natural thing and letting Anderson loose on the 205lbers where he belong's.

There's some serious, blind disrespect for the skills of Anderson Silva in this thread.

Are you nuts? Fedor is quick and strong and skilled Silva doesn't have the skills to to overcome the raw power of Fedor

Randleman V A. Silva would be a good fight. because you know Randleman is going to be much stronger than Silva, if Silva wins maybe then he can look at other LHW.

Interesting debate. I'm a huge Silva fan so to get a sense of balance I watched as many fights of Fedor on Youtube as I could. My feelings after that is that I think one has to favour Fedor in a match up between the two but I'm also in the camp that thinks Silva could possibly win if he keeps it off the ground and can throw a knee or two, but it's a tough order. Fedor is extremely fast with his fists, has tons of power, and is incredibly strong. Basically if it were odds I'd say Fedor would have about a 70-75% chance of winning. To me a similar comparison is Silva against BJ Penn, the size and strength differences are simply too much. But if Silva could capture the lightheavyweight title, and make a couple of defenses, I could re-evaluate my comments.
