Marciano is going to get as close to Lewis as he can, as quickly as possible. Marciano is also used to facing fighters faster than Lewis, and could probably avoid being caught flush by Lewis quite often. It is just hard for me to imagine Marciano mounting much of an attack against the much larger Lewis. Lewis would out jab him at long range, and lay on him in close. Lewis by comfortable decision, or late mercy stoppage.
No one resembled Rocky that I know of. In fact Lewis only fought 2 boxers that weighed under 200 pounds and that was early in his career. Just because Rocky KO'ed Walcott, doesn't mean that he would do the same to Lewis. Although Lewis's chin wasn't the best, BUT it was better then Jersey Joe's. Also, was the stopped Rocky had over Louis a KO or a TKO. I know what it says in BoxRec BUT they took that off the "Ring Record Book" and Nat Fleischer didn't use TKO. In the January 1952 issue of the "Ring Magazine" on page 11, it shows Louis getting knocked down by Rocky and it states, referee Rudy Goldstein calls a halt without a count.

I just checked it out and its true, Goldstein stopped the bout without a count, so I changed it on BoxRec.
Louis would not have been able to climb back in the ring in time imo. It was a mercy thing on Ruby's part.
I agree 100%, just like a lot of Frazier's opponents. They stopped it before Joe seriously injured them.
Lewis is too good and too big. Lewis would have some trouble because Marciano made being small an advantage.
But they were still getting up when the ref stop it, (Foster ete) Louis was no were close to beating the count.
I like the Rock. But he ain't BEATING Lewis. Sorry but Lewis is too damm big. People have said Lewis never fought anyone who resembles Rock. But who did Rock fight that Resembles LEWIS? Who did Rock beat that was a well schooled and skillful 6'5" and 250 pounds? Rock who look like a midget, he was only 184 pounds when he won the title. He destroyed men of his size who old or blown up, e.g. Louis (37), Walcott (38), Charles (faded ex-middleweight) or Moore (ex-middleweight and at least 40) and people use those wins as a benchmark to why Lewis Loses? Lewis would look like a monster in Rocky's time. He would probably be the the most feared fighter of all time. Don't anyone laugh at that statement, name me one fighter that that point in boxing history that had existed who resembled Lewis? Carnera and Willard were big but they were not as skilled and accurate as Lewis, plus Lewis was black so he would be even more feared and ducked in any era before Joe Louis came along. But then, Louis never fought a black giant like Louis who was skilled. But i give Joe Louis credit for destroying the white giants of his day. His Majesty Joe Louis KO'd way more Lewis sized Heavy's than the Rock. Way more. I give him a better chance of beating Lewis. Rock had tissue paper skin and rudimentary skills. Aside from A 37 YEAR OLD Joe Louis who weighed 212 pounds when they fought, Rock beat no decent sized heavies who had skill. He never fought a Nino Valdes or a Cleveland Williams sized and hard punching heavyweight in their prime. Rock is ATG and deserves his legendary status. R.I.P.
I agree 100%, BUT that is why a TKO is the same to me as a KO. Why count if the fighter is finished. Lewis was just TOO BIG for Rocky. Rocky never fought anyone like Lewis.
I love the Rock and rate him higher from a legacy standpoint, but head to head this is a terrible, terrible mismatch.. Lewis has my pick to win in horribly one-sided fashion.
Holyfield, Tyson, Tua, Morrison, Mercer, Chanet were most similar, although most were far bigger/stronger. He didn't KO them all early but he didnt fight many under 6'0 anyway. If he lands big he may take Rocky out early or he may dissect him. Usually he dissected smaller men. Either way its probably 1 sided beating
On the Flipside, if marciano lands one Suzy Q, then thats all she wrote. History tells us this with Lennox.
