I think he has fought 3 times out of Panama. 0-1-2. The two draws against a small 118lbs guy. (Hard to get a decision in Germany). And a lost against a Thai fighter that is also small for 122lbs( but he is good). He did beat Caballero. But I don't really think Caballero is that good. He might be in the top 12.
I have never seen the guy, but I have heard from many latinos that he is called, ricardo the 1000 title shots cordoba
Pretty decent fighter, but he didnt impress me that much in his two encounters with Sidorenko.I for one had his opponent ahead on points in both fights.Lucky dog! He didnt really deserve neither the first draw nor the second one. At least their first encounter was quite close, but their second encounter was a kind of gift draw for Cordoba. Sidorenko boxed his ears off in their second fight and should have won it.If I am not wrong two blind judges scored a draw whereas the third one had Sidorenko ahead on point with 119-110.
Best, no. Deserving to be in the top tier, possibly. It's weird because it feels like Cordoba has been around forever, but don't forget that he's actually younger than Juanma Lopez. He can still push his way to the top.
Even tho Cordoba beat Caballero, Caballero is better - he's done way more with his career. Cordoba got beaten 1st time vs Sidorenko; 2nd time I felt Sidorenko was lucky due to Cordoba's long range boxing. Maybe it is right place, right time, right weight - for Dunne. We will see. Cordoba is just a tough lanky guy who boxes pretty well from the outside. This fight for the WBA "regular" belt means that it saves "super champ" Caballero from a hard night. He has to be taken seriously given that he beat Caballero - the same Caballero who beat Ponce De Leon, Steve Molitor, Somsak Sitchatchawal, in their relative backyards. I wouldn't give Dunne a chance vs Caballero as this guy is freakishly tall, strong, durable, and is apt to push an unseasoned fighter to the limit to look for vulnerabilities.
