Are you sure it's not the fifth fight between Archie Moore and Jimmy Bivins? I thought the third fight between Bivins and Moore ended in a majority decision win for Moore. The fifth fight ended in a TKO stoppage after Bivins had been floored by an uppercut. Description of the 5th fight: Description of the third fight:
Archie was a great fighter...the best at Lightheavy and he had Great power for any division...remember he beat the big boys Baker by Ko and beat Nino 2 times and the tougher men around at that time were the smaller guys
GreatA, Perhaps your right, however I do believe this fight is the 1947 sept. 8 fight between moore and bivins ending in 9th round TKO. That would mean 2nd fight, thats what a boxing collector I bought it off, has it listed as. but I could be wrong.
