They used to be sparring partners. I think Frazier would knock out Norton though. Norton didn't do too well against aggressive, hard hitting fighters.

From 1973 on, I think Norton wins. This would have been a big fight for either guy. At their best I'd pick Frazier.

I would pick Frazier too. Norton had trouble with big punchers, and Frazier was one of the biggest.

I just saw Norton this past Sunday and he was in a wheelchair. He did get up, very slowly, to talk.

The last time I saw Frazier, when I ring announced a show in New Jersey, he needed a cane to get around.

Both told me that they got that way because of car accidents.

As far as I know Frazier used to beat the crap out of Norton in sparring.

Frazier KO 3. The only reason this isn't a first round ko is because Norton was defensive and Frazier started slow.

I don't know if Joe beat the crap outta Kenny but from what Eddie Futch said about the two, Frazier would always dominate the sparring sessions with Norton getting better each time.

Futch's cause for concern prior to Frazier's title defense against Foreman is not surprising when Norton started to dominate the sparring sessions. Frazier was apparently coasting and partying before the Jamaica fight which resulted in a serious whupping by Foreman.

As for Norton vs Frazier, 1967 - 1970 Frazier would KO Norton inside five rounds. Norton beats Frazier after 1973.

Prime for prime, I go with Frazier, possibly late round stoppage.
Neither fighter was effective backing up,but Frazier was more agressive ,so I see him initiating the action and taking the play away from the body beautiful.

from 1980 on, anyone beats ali so what is your point? we take them both at there best, and norton stands no chance against a late 1960s frazier.

    Frazier would win

I dont think Norton would be able to handle Fraziers pressure
