Pacquiao fought Barrera during their primes, fought Marquez twice during their primes.

Barrera fought Morales three times during their primes.

Pacquiao and Morales gave us two amazing fights before Erik was a bit too far gone to make the third as competitive.

Barrera v Marquez was a good fight.

I think that's more good fights than the original Fab Four provided!

A lot of people don't understand the meaning of "Fab four". They keep throwing Mayweather's name in the mix. if he's not included its not taking away of how good of a boxer he is, he just doesn't fit the bill. Mab, Morales, Pac and Jmm is the only choice. Deal with it.

Nut-hugging at its finest. When did Mayweather fight Marquez/Morales/Pacquiao/Barrera?

you have a point. if we are talking about the best 4 fighters of the same weight (and actually fought each other) then it's clearly pac, jmm, morales and mab. but the OP was not clear, some misunderstood it (like my self) as the best fighters of this decade.

    Pac-Oscar-Mayweather-Hatton

Not necessarily the best boxers but those who make the biggest fights against each other. Which is what the fab 4 did.

The difference is Hagler, Hearns, Duran and Leonard were all around the same weight at the same time and all fought each other. Duran was 1-1 v Leonard, lost to Hearns and Hagler. Leonard was 1-1 against Duran, 1-0-1 against Hearns, beat Hagler. Hearns beat Duran, lost and drew to Leonard, lost to Hagler. Hagler lost to Leonard, beat Duran, beat Hearns. See, they all fought each other.

The closest we can come to that is Pac, MAB, EM and JMM as mentioned, given that Pac has fought and beat all of MAB, EM and JMM. MAB has fought Pac, EM and JMM at one time or another. JMM has fought both Pac & MAB, same with EM. But the fact that Morales and Marquez never faced off means they can't really be compared that much to the Big Four of the 80's.

It is very, very rare to see four fighters, at that elite level, fighting eachother in the exact same way Duran etc. did. The only fight that is missing is JMM vs EM. Id say its a bit harsh to say you cant compare them simply because one fight was missing

You must be out of your mind lol. The big 4 had to have been in there prime. There is no big 4 this decade. Dlh, Shane, Vargas and Tito comes close lol...and that is spilling in from the late 90's into this decade lol.
