Miranda's right. Taylor built his record on facing smaller fighters, and then got his gift decisions against Hopkins and Wright (who was a smaller fighter himself). If Froch is any good he will beat Taylor easily. Taylor is one of the bigger frauds in boxing going today.
Isn't Froch fighting a smaller fighter next? You suggest Froch would have to be good to beat Taylor, a smaller man. Doesn't that make Taylor quite good, to say the least? Taylor wasn't beaten easily by anyone. Why do you think Froch of all people will beat him easily?
Froch should get in a good defence against Miranda if he beats Taylor. He'd beat him easily, both have power but only one has a chin. I'd be more worried about Taylor given he can blow out late and he's down knocked out before and knocked down by guys like Lacy recently, though I think he's still stop Miranda late while comfortably ahead on points.
miranda would have gotten the taylor fight but he got KOed my pavlik. he spent all the lead up to his pavlik fight talking about how bad he was gonna knock out JT when they fight one thing you can say about him is hes never short of confidence and he always wants to fight the best.. AA whooped him in their last fight but the first one should have been all edison
It's not as if JT's dodging him. Miranda got smoked out of the no. 1 contender spot by Pavlik; then he got battered by AA as JT was starting to move up. Until he starts winning fights, he can't stake a claim to be at the top.
I was a fan of miranda, but he now needs to start fighting credible opponents win or lose. he needs to forget about fighting these bums and instead fight fighters ranked in the top 5 in the rankings, if he carries on like he is now then he is going to be put away by any top class fighter. he should forget about jermaine taylor for the moment, if he wants that fight to happen then maybe he should look to fight a credible fighter. i think clinton woods would be a good choice, if he KO's woods then all he has to do is lose 7 pounds and get a fight with froch. if taylor beats froch he is the WBC champ, a win over froch for miranda should get him a shot at taylor.
Clinton Woods is an awful choice. He has a very good chin and a lot of guts, not to mention he can box. He wouldn't knock Woods out and he'd lose a very lopsided division or get stopped late while well behind on points. Froch would batter Miranda. He's just as powerful, or nearly as powerful, with better fundamentals and a much better chin.
Miranda is just doing what he do best! Talking ****! the thing he does second best is beating C level fighters!
