but thats the double edged sword, isnt it?

a euro challenger with a flimsy resume against an opponent who's being judged for fighting the best fighters at his weight and the cynics are looking for a weakness...

I believe the fight will be on Late Night ITV 1.

I think Froch has a contract with ITV.

Beautiful is the wrong word but it was a top fight, old school scrap between two hard hitting and strong chinned yet technically limited men.
Taylor is in for a fight thats a given. Carl Froch is a hard and proud fighter.

I think it is on ITV, they have talking about it loads and promoting it on every ITV boxing specials for a while now, so that should be good. Froch can fight much better than how he fought against Pascal, he uses his jab alot more. I don't know if there was bad blood between the two, from maybe the weigh in or something, but Froch wanted to knock his head off. I'm still saying probably a Froch UD, or a 8/9th round KO, against Taylor. Will be a very tough fight though.

Damned, this thread is full of Frochluddites isn't it? Fight of the year? Great scrap? How about "Windmills". Geez. I am not all that good on judging technique, but I know BAD when I see it. That fight was full of it. :patsch

Read Dempsy's book on technique. No power in a windmill type punch. Sorry. These guys were pretty much dreadful in that fight.

I watched the fight twice and saw almost nothing in the way of fundamentals from Pascal. Maybe you can enlighten me as to specifically what boxing skills of his impressed you?

Yet another myth from a Froch fan meant to hype his fighter.

Who avoided Pascal? Bute? That has more to do with their promoters than anything, plus the fact that Bute would crush him... and I'm not even a big Bute fan.

The fact is that Pascal avoided a fight with Miranda. MIRANDA. Yes.

    You've summed it up perfectly.

One guy who runs his mouth and has looked OK against lesser competition facing a guy who has looked OK facing P4P kings and world champions.

Both their flaws are obvious to any fan with eyes; the difference being that Froch has looked flawed against B level fighters and Taylor has looked flawed against the best in the world and STILL won most of those fights.
