i sparred for the first time on Saturday, and i thought i would do pretty good, because i was faster and taller then the guy, but he just kept coming inside and breaking me apart. and giving me hard body and head shots. i thought i was going to throw up. it was just the first time i sparred. i have a lot to work to do. how did all your guys first time sparring experience go?
First time I sparred it was against a guy who only had about a month experience on me. He went really light and I didn't realize it at the time. Ended up busting his nose. I was psyched about it. Then I got home and was thinking about how it went down and felt like crap for going so hard.
I went against two more experienced guys, one younger and one older. I had a bleeding nose and an eye bruise. I had no defence and kept my hands low, and also gased out pretty fast because I was always pressuring them. I learned to work harder in training and focusing on defence a lot more. I remember the older guy landed a jab and my head went back, and I felt it in my neck during months lol
My first time was awesome, I had this kid who was about a year or two older than me( I was 12 at the time). He was also a few inches taller and had a couple of months on me. Before the match, the little ***** mocked me by making slanted eyes(I'm asian) but I didn't really care about that what pissed me of is when he slapped me on the back of the head. I almost got into a fight with him, my coach was pissed. He put us in the ring to spar, I was calm and sticking to the basics and I ended up beating the **** out of him. Never saw him again at the gym LOL
i was really doing good against two other newbies.....then it got heated and turned into a fight:bbb....i beat them both tho!!:yep.... then my trainer called me over for a wee chat and a spar with him....i felt my rib crack as he landed that body shot:yikes.... So yeah thats how good my first sparring session was :!:.
i started sparring my 4 or 5 day at the gym, i had no former training but i wasn't no noob boxing just came easy to me which is why i wanted to box. my sparring partner with 2 year experience soon realize that i was no play thing.first round i'm countering, slipinng, hitting him with straight right hands, good defense. 2nd round im lil winded still holding my own though. third round i got my john ruiz and ricky hatton on after ever other punch i'm grabbing. overall performace good for my first time. coach was impress called me a natural became apart of the team real quick had my first fight a month later against a fighter who was about 5'11 120 pounds that ******* was tall
i started my first spar with my mate who played rugby and was tall and well built and alot heavier than me he battered the crap out of me
Wow, sounds like everyone got the beating of their life during their first session. I sparred someone who was very experienced and outside of some hard jabs, he went pretty easy on me and showed me some things. I learned the importance of footwork.
My first time sparring was with my best mate, so we went light on eachother.. we sparred almost every other day for a while, was really good.. we are about the same height and reach, and almost the same weight so it worked out very good. My first time in the boxing gym was with a muay thai fighter that was new to the gym, he had more than 50 figths as a muay thai fighter.. We had 10oz gloves and no headgear, or gumshield.. trainer told us to go light. We did 3 minute rounds, first round was easy.. he was being polite and nice, so was I. Second round I remember outjabbing him with ease... I got in a good rhythm and trainer was checking us out.. this guy was bigger than me.. he got frustrated and started going all out on me, basically ripping uppercuts and right hands.. he hit me with a good uppercut that I felt.. he hit pretty hard.. he caught me good and he had 20lbs on me, and more than ten years of age. beyond that point, it was a controlled war, both of us hit with bad intentions. He crouched with his elbows high when I unleashed on him, so I figured I would throw on his guard and step to the side to find the opening to his body. I did so and caught him with a beautiful left hook to the ribs. He had a delayed reaction and went down in agony. After that he wanted no more and told me to "go easy" and we did 2 more rounds very easy. I thought I did good.
My first time wasn´t exactly how it was suppose to be. The trainers was suppose to give me a sparring match agianst a diploma boxer and if I do good they would let me train in the diploma group. unfortunately they had to do it another day instead. so when the training was over I was shadow boxing in the ring .when suddenly a guy came and said that I was pretty good and asked if I had sparred before. I said no and he asked if I wanted to spar with him, of course I said yes. I got owned. I never connected a punch, he countered all my punches and in the 3 Round I got KO´d. Later he gave me a few tricks and also said he was a amatuer boxer (which I didnt know) and was Light heavyweight ( i am bantamn) So yeah that was a good experience
Sorry to say so, but your trainer is an idiot. Sparring with no mouthpiece? Against a guy who has had 50 fights? It's a miracle that uppercut didn't cut your tongue or lips and turned your mouth into a bloody vagina.
Stop ****ing lying, you haven't even sparred if your pretending you beat the **** out of someone the first time you ever sparred.
