He was ok but he really should of put that guy out early. But I dunno it seemed to me that the ring in that arena was, well, rather bigger than a standard one. Thats what you get when you get these stupid MMA/Boxing events mixed up. They shouldn't do **** like that. Both fighters had a LOT of room to work in, and if I knew this, well ****, I probably would of bet on the over as well. BJ is ok, but hes nothing really to special. I can tell he fears being hit, he hates it. Its like he knows that he can't take it and than tries to look for other alternatives. And those alternatives can be anything, as long as he doesn't get hit. And sometimes those alternatives loses rounds for him. I was a bit impressed, but imo he would have trouble with good cruisers with good power, such as Adamek, Wlodarczyk, Ramirez, Alexeev, Banks, Kraj. A fight with Kraj would be great tho, for both fighters. Id pay to see that ****. Also, just cause one was a heavyweight at one point, doesn't mean they are gonna be a "force" at CW. That just doesn't make any sense at all... Good examples can be: Hide and for future reference Chris Byrd.
now i am no BJ appoligist, but as far as him not getting th ko i think i heard that he hurt his hand early on in the fight. so i'd expect him to sit it out for another year, even with a promotional powerhouse behind him like square ring
i did not hear that but if it is true that would make sense but if he takes more than 6-8 weeks off before he trains agian that will be crazy even with a hurt hand at tops he should be back in the ring by july
Who's he going to fight? Licina or Hernandez? If he fights the Cuban I think he'll win via mid-round KO...if he fights the Serb, it's going to be a hell of a fight and probably a razor-thin decision...
You sure, tank! According to boxrec Hernandez is scheduled to face Aaron Williams whereas Licina's opponent hasnt officially announced yet.Licina is Hernandez' stable mate. The Bosnian is a rising shooting star whose last fight was showed on tv. Flores wont fight for peanuts on the undercard.Well,Licina vs Flores makes more sense than Hernandez vs Flores in my oponion, tank.
Whom would you favour in a fight between Flores and Licina, brickhaus? By the way Aaron Williams vs Yoan Hernandez will take place on Huck vs Rusal undercard in the german city of bamberg, may the 9th.
Haven't seen much of Licina, just the Griffin fight, so can't really say. Seems like he likes to try boxing on the outside though, which is probably a mistake for a guy with little T-Rex arms like his. Flores has proven that he isn't too proud to run if Licina tries to bully inside. Licina should stand a good chance by merely outworking him though. Williams-Hernandez could be interesting. I liked both fighters as prospects before they lost. I actually liked Hernandez the better of the two. Hard to make a call on this one as I haven't seen either one fight since their losses, and I have to imagine they've both been working on their defense. Considering how each of them lost though, assuming nothing's changed, I'll probably go with Williams, who I think can get inside on Hernandez.
i ve never seen Aaron fight in a ring so that I cant really comment on him and his chances against Hernandez, but he seems to have some pop in his fists. As we all know the young Cuban's chin isnt the best one out there. Any decent puncher has a good chance to beat Hernandez in my opinion.I am looking forward to this particular fight. Hernandez seems to be a very likeable human being.Had a short chat with him after he had defeated ....??(forgotten his foe's name) on the undercard of Ruiz vs Valuev.A Cuban friend of mine trained together with on back in Cuba.First time they met each after a couple of years.I speak Spanish ,too.Nice guy,but to be honest I am not sold on him at all.
