Golovkin is the only guy who could really trouble Pavlik. Gevor is alright but I don't think he'd be able to continually keep Pavlik in hot water.

Golovkin is a pretty good fighter...I think that Pavlik beats any of those 15 though....AA is the fight to be made but I'd accept a fight with Sturm as well!

This might be a good time to consider a few things that an average sized middleweight CANNOT do against Kelly Pavlik.

You can't get into a jabbing contest. KP will use his height and reach to maintain the distance he wants, and pound the **** out of ya. Think about rounds 4-6 of the first Taylor fight. JT was a BIG middleweight with a fast jab, but he could not beat KP in a jabbing contest. I actually gave rounds 4 and 5 to JT, but along with Emmanuel Steward, I could see the fight was moving Kelly's way. A JAB in the center of the ring in round 7 proved to be the beginning of the end.

You can't play the bully and hope to over power and out muscle him. Miranda was huge at 160, and considered a monster at the time Kelly fought him. Pavlik proved to be more monster.

An average sized middleweight who uses an orthodox, stand up, european style can't win the jabbing contest, or avoid that long left hook, and therefore cannot avoid the right hand.

Give me a guy with really fast hands, faster than Taylor, and fast, well educated feet, along with a stiff jab, and a powerful right hand, and I'll give the guy a very good chance. Blister and move, and use really fast, really smart foot work, and you'll beat Pavlik. However, how many guys at 160 are faster than Taylor, have BHop's footwork, and can bang hard enough to get Kelly's respect?

Gevor, Duddy, and Geale are the only ring magazine ranked fighters... Gevor's the only one that earned his way there...

Lopez has moved down to 154... His next fight is against Ossie Duran at 54...

I think Gennedy, Khoren and Pirog would be the tougher fights...

How Geale performs against Mundine will be a indication of where he is in that division...

Oral and Jantuah are fighting each other...

Pirog seems to be the pick... But I would like to see Pavlik fight Gevor..

Kelly can be knocked out.He is a human being. And a fighter like Pirog has the necessary firepower to take him out.Doesnt mean that he would be able to take him out though! Well,he has a puncher's chance, a pretty decent one against Kelly.
Apart from Golovkin I cant really see no fighter of that list outpoint Kelly. You are right!
And as for Golovkin he is still a big question mark! He has the potential to be a great fighter, but he also has some weak spots which can be his downfall.Besides he still needs to learn one or two things before sharing the ring with a top fighter like Pavlik. At this stage of their careers I wouldnt bet a single coin on Golovkin.

I don't like Mora but he can beat half the guys on that list.

He's not too bad of a fighter he's just a slime ball.

He matches up very poorly with Pavlik though.

You're right. The knock on Mora is his personality, and his delusional ego. We tend to over look his skill set because it is damn near impossible to see past his assinine arrogance.
