what's the plan for Pacman? Let's assume a Pac winner over Hatton. The superfight looms with Floyd. If Ellerbe manages to **** that one up then it is Armaggedon.

But regardless of that...I somehow don't think Pac or Arum are clamoring for Pac-JMM 3. They got scoreboard on the first two and unless the money is overwhelming, i'd be surprised.

Arum always wanted to match Pac with Valero...not a surprise and i'm sure Pac is on board if Valero accomplishes some things in the next 9 months or so. Arum has also said Guzman was Pac's most dangerous opponent, which is true, other than JMM. Arum now has a co-promotional deal for Guzman now. That's a huge risk fight, practically nothing to gain there except even more respect. So it would not surprise me if Pac took it, he's that kinda dude. I hope he does.

Arum said Valero would be Pac's most dangerous opponent but of course that was when he was about to match them up when they thought the ODLH fight might fall through.

well that statement wouldn't be untrue just because he took a fight with Oscar, but i've always recalled Arum referring to Guzman as the one who'd present the most problems.

Hard for you to figure out which one to hug on with that matchup, I suppose.

after Hatton they are looking at Floyd, Cotto, or JMM. Maybe Mosley's name will pop out but I doubt Valero is in the running.

Yeah Arum has both fighters in his camp . . . why not fit them against each other.

Pacquiao will be out of the picture sooner or later . . . win or lose . . . so Arum should be starting to nurture the career of his next milking cow.

Yeah Guzman the most problems because of his movement and slickster style and Pac not having really dealt with that style so far, at least at a top level, and Valero the most dangerous because off his massive power in both hands. I don't know if either fight will happen before Pac retires but either would be interesting to see I think.

Valero was Pac's opponent already if the ODLH fight had fallen through.

if pac gets past hatton, he has to go for the bigger challenge still and that would be floyd, cotto and mosley. Those fights are for immortality

beating Oscar the way Pac did really elevated him to another level in terms of drawing power. That's why Valero is off the radar now.

I think Top Rank made a wiser move than they knew allowing Valero to fight on a Golden Boy Card. Lightweight Lightning has really suffered with Casamayor and Barrios pulling out, Valero is now the real draw. It's no longer any kind of tournament, and Katsidis better look good or he will no longer be considered an attraction.

They were considering Zab Judah for the Hatton fight so I wouldn't rule it out as they may see it as an easy payday.
