I was sorting out my boxing tapes yesterday and when I came across this fight I had to re-watch it. One of my favourite fights of this generations, but as has already been said, Morales won pretty decisively.

Morales looked a million dollars in this fight. When watching it, it's hard to believe how his career just fell apart in the following fights.

its a great fight but i think Pacquiao had a couple things working against him, 1 being not used to the higher weightclass and the other being the cut that was caused by a headbutt.

Morales really put in a great performance for sure. As a big Pac fan it was nice to see him set the record straight in a convincing manner in the rematch.

it was a great fight marred only by the headbutt in the 5th which opened up a bad cut on pac. impaired his vision and offered morales a good target.

still overall a great performance from the two best warriors of their generations.

    pacman and el terrible.

I thought it was a shame that Morales got beaten by father time like so many great fighters had before him. I was hoping he could have been a rare exception. But..no.

it was a shame pac was still one dimensional when he fought Morales and was force to wear pillow gloves.

Smaller fighter? He was outweighed on fight night by one pound. Meaningless.

pac had huge legs thats where most of his weight come from... but if you watch this vid morales was clearly the bigger man. That was pac's first fight at 130.

All I see is a taller Morales. They basically weighed the same so the "bigger fighter" excuse is nonsense. Pac's first, Morales's second, blah blah. Morales didn't impose his size, he imposed his skill.

It's not an excuse morales was indeed bigger... it's a fact.

Pac had bad defense, bad balance (no lateral movement) and doesn't know how to fight going back, all he got was speed and power.. it's a fact.

if i were to use an excuse then it had to be the cut and gloves angle. :good

    Discrediting?

    look who's talking...

As good as morales was he just can't knocked out a one eyed, one dimensional with pillow gloves pac. It was a great fight and great win for him.... but i'm just stating facts.

**** it I suppose ill have to watch this one agian maybe ill pop in the rematch to although rounds 6,7,8,9 and 10 are hard to watch as Morales goes from elite to shot in one night after that beating.
