“Cortez is strict and he will not allow Hatton’s excessive holding,” Roach said. But since Hatton’s people and fans thought that Cortez’ penchant to break up fighters will not suit the Briton’s attacking style, he won’t be surprised if Cortez’s name will not be on a list that will be submitted for appointment. “They (Hatton’s people) blamed Cortez for that loss,” said Roach.

If he refs the fight we wont see much action.
he will be diving into break it up every 5 seconds.

Nady is even stricter on holding than Cortez...Hatton needs Ron Lipton to be reinstated as a referee - He is one of the few referee's of the modern era who understand the dynamics of a fight on the inside.

Nah nah nah that's a big joke . . . in the fight of this magnitude we can't afford an old ref who is too slow and has commited a lot of blunders in the past.

Cortez has got great intuition. He stopped Soto from hurting Lorenzo, when Soto was about to knock him out, DQ'd Soto even when it was just a grazing punch while Lorenzo was just taking a knee, knowing that it COULD have been worse, taking a point off Hatton for hitting Mayweather behind his head even when he didnt, but ahhh good ol', hold on ,VERY old Cortez knew that he might do it again. Not letting Hatton fight on the inside, breaking them on the slightest clutch but then allowing Hopkins to hold the whole way through the Calzaghe fight. Hes just got this 6th sense that can sense things which no one can see or even knows is going on. Hes a ****.

    Freddie Roach is a weenie.

One quote he is acting tough and the next he is being a drama queen.

Bayless, Smoger or Weeks. The rest that I can think of either stop fights too soon or have too many flaws.
