Bob Arum said Chavez might fight Manny Pacquiao at the end of the year in a major event with a Mexico vs. Philippines theme. Chavez is a junior middleweight and Pacquiao has only fought once above 135-pounds, when he stopped Oscar De La Hoya last December at welterweight. "As far as opponents for Chavez there is John Duddy, there is Oscar De La Hoya(if he continues to fight). An there is third which is a little different because of the size difference but it would be the biggest fight of the year, with Julio Cesar Chavez vs. Manny Pacquiao, Mexico vs. the Philippines, Arum said
1. Chavez Jr. doesn't even the deserve that opportunity yet. 2. The weight difference is just too big. I don't think Pacquiao should even try unless the money is extremely good. 3. Pacquiao by KO in 5. But still is unhealthy and could have an effect against real opponents
