For those of you who actually watched the Winky/Vargas fight...Scorecards?

Good to see most got it right.

 

Nando showed alot of his early fight years gusto, but was outpointed.
Not handily beaten, but winky def won that fight.

 

Wink won that fight... As often in a case of a fighter that is suppose to win fights it took the judges a few rounds to start given Wink credit for winning rounds.

It wasnt a robbery type of dec that Vargas got that night, Winky didnt do all that much in the closing rounds and pretty much gave Vargas some late rounds thinking that he had the fight won..That is always a mistake..Note Oscar V Tito.

 

I don't have the exact scorecard on me, but I had Vargas pulling out a close win down the stretch.

 

this close fight has some similarities with Pac Marquez 3.

1. high expectation to both Pac and Vargas were expected to just dominate and KO Marquez and Wright who have never been KO'd.

2. i just checked the judges score and they were exactly the same as last Saturday where 2 favored the champion.

3. Lederman again favored the more "aggressive" fighter in Vargas where he probly gave him the close round.

4. one was a lefty while the other was an orthodox fighter......i didn't see any foot stepping.

5. i also agree that this was a close fight and no robbery.
