Was looking on Boxrec at Alesandro Berrio's next opponent and thought wtf he is fighting someone with 7 fights, but then look at his record and he has fought Donnel Wiggins, Epifet Mendoza(nearly beat Lacy) and Montell Griffin! in 7 fights. Thats a guy not being pampered. Take a look at him

Yes . . . he is not being pampered.

    Here he is

    . . . Beibut Shumenov

25 years old . . . represented Kazakhstan at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games as a Light heavyweight. He is presently listed as fighting out of Las Vegas Nevada.

I bet he has a lot of amateur fights.

I think Shumenov promotes himself, or at least has the big say in his opponents. He said he does not want to be brought along slowly fighting cans.

Fighting Berrio, perhaps the guy with the most natural (if slightly crude) power at 168...ballsy move.

I agree. But not getting and not even looking for a US TV deal is very very very stupid. He said something he doesn't want people to see the mistakes he makes. Yeah right, we certainly wouldn't want to see guys fighting Griffins, Wiggins, Mendozas and Berrios in less than 10 fights. Beibut is doing it wrong.

However, the footage I've seen of him showed a fairly one-dimensional, although aggressive fighter, and reports of the Mendoza fights weren't completely sold on Shumenov's quality. We'll see...

    I mean we'll read... :patsch

I bet the whole fight or at least a solid part of it will be broadcasted by Kazakh TV. The guy is fighting on local football stadium. Seems like an event they can hardly miss to televize.
