Hatton does not react to taking a punch very well.

Hatton got knocked out by the ring post after Mayweather introduced them.

 

Hatton is over-rated in my country full stop.

And for the record i take it the other p4p fighter your talking about was the way past his prime kostya tszyu that still managed to give hatton problems until he quit.

 

Hatton had Mayweather flustered early, and I thought buzzed PBF, causing PBF to try and escape through the ropes. I can't remember what round it is, but I definitely remember it...and this was at 147, when Hatton is slower and fatter!

I think Hatton has a real shot at winning this fight, because I think Hatton is very VERY good at 140. Not, 147, but 140. That is why Pbf made it manditory to only fight HAtton at 147, because of the danger zone you are in when you fight Hatton at 140.

I pick Pacquiao to win this because of his heart and skills, and speed. But, I am starting to think this is a 50-50 chance of winning fight for both fighters. Hatton is VERY strong and quick, and tough at 140. He might be unbeatable. We'll find out.

I have been saying this since day one. Hattons punch resistance is gone and Pac can KO him within 4 if he tries.

 

PBF is not light puncher, he simply doesn't take risks, he has tremendous speed and speed is power...

Pac will not ko Hatton. He actually has a good chin. The facts are that he is naturally a small guy (much too small to deal campaign at 147 and deal with the likes of Mayweather and Collazo) who eats a hell of a lot of punches.

The reason for this is that he has absolutely no defence whatsoever. Look at the punishment Ricky Hatton has soaked up in pretty much every one of his fights and you will see that there is no way he could have progressed as far as he has without good punch resistance.

 

Joe Calzaghe aside, I agree.

 

Sorry but i'll have to disagree,calzaghe is by far the best british fighter of the last decade.
The only reason calzaghe don't stop opponents is the well known fact he suffers with brittle hands so can't throw punches with any real weight behind them.

Do you honestly think jones would have seen the 12th round if calzaghe could still put weight in his punches like he did at the start of his career??
