hatton has good single shot punch resistance... fact is he eats a lot of shots... thats his style, he ate a lot of shots against mayweather and when that happens sooner or later you're gonna get ko'd. look at margarito against mosley... margarito has got v good punch resistance but he just couldn't carry on eating shot after shot.
Hatton is more suspect to sharp shooters like Collazo, Magee and Mayweather, rather than fighters like Tszyu and Castillo.
Look at this recent video of Hatton & Pacquiao hitting the heavybags. Back to back. Interesting. They are not at 100% fighting condition as of now but we can see their differing punching styles & handspeed & movement. [yt]44ubTjr_FhQ[/yt]
1-ummhhhhhhhhhhh,1 KO in 45 + FIGHTS... 2-mayweather is a very underrated puncher.. 3-kostya tszyu one of the great punchers of his generation i.e zab judah lol,was unable to stop him 4-saying hatton has no punch resistance is like saying steve collins had no chin. 5-since whens floyd a lightwelter? stupid thread.
pacquiao is hitting a harder bag though... they are much easier to throw quick shots at as your gloves don't sink into them... the bag hatton is on is softer.
Do you agree that Floyd is a light puncher? Coz he dropped Chico numerous times and Corrales was famous for his toughness and punch resistance:deal Tszyu didn't miss Hatton very much, and Hatton took those punches. Anyway, Hatton wasn't cold, he was stopped on his feet....Collazo might've hurt him but he also hurt Berto numerous times and he's much bigger than Hatton. Personally I think Manny will stop Hatton around the 6th round, but Hatton can take a decent dig, and fights well under pressure.
they both look pretty good in that vid but you are right, pac is much faster. goodness gracious this is gonna be a war i cant wait
He shouldnt be overrated in your country. At least he's got the balls to fight the best. I'm no Hatton fan but i have to respect him for this.
i refute all you say... your so blinded by your own agenda it affects your rationale and objectivity to the extent of neurosis, the guy is great, your so unoriginal its almost humorous, how you revert to a near single blemish on a great fighters reputation and record, since when does a loss to 1 fighter affect the bigger picture,i think most in the pugilistic community would refute what you say let alone me! i can name a dozen great fighters with a dodgy loss or two,but it doesnt affect my view on them as i tend to use commons sense and a balanced thought process...
