Perhaps not one punch, but he'd land 2 or 3, nearly as HUGE, punches in the time it took the real big one punch hitters to land one.

Earnie Shavers was the biggest puncher.

In terms of punching power combined with boxing skill, it would have to Foreman and Marciano.

i'm surprised to hear anyone say that.

the guy asked about hardest heavy puncher and tyson is much more formidable than lewis ever was even though lewis was much more calculated .

tyson was also the first to KO tubbs., berbick, pinklon thomas, michael spinks, carl williams and not only being the first to KO them, how fast he did it......all of these guys were world champions , solid guys.... (except williams who at the time only loss was a 15 rounder to holmes...
only one to KO larry holmes and he had over 60 fights
larry holmes tkod frazier by over hand righting him to death in rd 1 (ref stops it)
tyson put him on canvas for several minutes within 30 seconds of rd 1
for his size......hes def top 3.

No, Tyson not the hardest puncher, but at his prime he was quick and would land many punches that were not see by his opponents.

No, that would be Foreman or Shavers. Tyson had a freakish combination of speed, power, and accuracy. Because he threw just about everything in combination, he always hit guys flush with well-leveraged shots they didn't see coming which is obviously going to produce concussive results. Seeing all the highlight reels of his victims staggering gives many the impression that he was simply the hardest puncher. I'm too lazy to look it up, but I believe Larry Holmes said that Shavers hit harder than Tyson.

Not from one shot, the lewis right hand was a bigger one shot punch, tyson at his best threw alot of fast hard punchs but his speed and timing was one of the main reasons for his kos.

Or maybe he means that foreman was more skilled than a guy like shavers so his power was more effective than a slugger like shavers.
