At 160 how would this play out? I know Winky's best weight is at 154 but at 160 he has wins over Felix Trinidad, a half decent Sam Soliman, a draw with Ike Quartey (who had proven he was still good by nearly beating Vernon Forrest) and a relatively close loss to B-hop. His style would give anyone problems, as Southpaws can rarely fight inside as well as he can. I still see RJJ going on for a decision but having real problems with Winky's tight defence and stiff jab. One of the few fighters i wouldent be able to see Roy dominate

First of all he shut Ike Quartey out and knocked him down twice and dominated Tito worse than RJJ did. Winky would beat Roy on points easily at 160.

    1. He beat Ike Quartey by about 9 rounds to 3.
    2. Hopkins fight was at 170, not 160.
    3. No mention of the draw, and possible win, over Jermain Taylor?
    4. We never saw Roy Jones beat anybody as good as Winky Wright while at 160, his best wins were a green Bernard Hopkins, and 32 year old Jorge Vaca.

lol Green Hopkins (Hopkins was 29) Jones was also very green and had one hand in that fight.

Roy also fought Thomas Tate at middleweight stopping him inside 2, even though he had just gone the distance with Julian Jackson. Several time world challenger and surely better than Jorge Vaca

Do you think Jones would be taken to a SD vs Fernando Vargas?

winky is a beutiful fighter which i love to watch.... but just because time change.... dont talk badly about people who deserves everything... RJJ is without doubt the best fighter in the last 2 decades... its quite the same **** with pretty boy.... you keep bitching that he never faced anyone... nevertheless.... your wrong and you are jealous.... just because they have a big mouth and are extremely confident dosent mean they are shitty people... enjoy it when big talents is around.... cause its not just a small thing

Of coures he was green you did. You think that was a prime Hopkins or something?

Neither guys were world champions, the fight isn't an accurate gauge of how a prime v prime match would of gone.

All we knew is that Jones would win because while neither were world champions, Jones had beaten the better opposition and had a much more distinguished amateur career, and start to his pro one.

Are you ******ed? Completey different styles, Winky sat back and Vargas came onto him, and Vargas in his prime was an absolute beast of a pressure fighter. You are completely underestiming a great fighter in Vargas.

And the answer is no. Because Roy was naturally far, far bigger than Vargas. Stupid question and stupid comparison.

True. Forget about Tate. Good call. But still his 160 resume wasn't very impressive.

Since when has anybody ever dominated Winky? Let alone a prime Winky? Jones may very well win. He was a big 160 with exceptional speed and great power, and outstanding reflexes and speed of foot. But he certainly doesn't 'dominate' Winky.
