i am really surprised--and impressed--that cotto is willing to go in so deep after only one, somewhat un-challenging fight on the trail back from the loss to margarito. i wonder if cotto's comeback confidence is bolstered by the feeling that margo loaded his wraps (or might have) in their fight? i respect the decision to go in with clottey, i just have been surprised that it has developed to official or semi-official status.

despite the fact that cotto's speed, sharp angles of engagement and quick, inside combinations are likely to make all the difference in the fight...clottey is too tough, too big for the weight and too dangerous for me not to be a bit nervous after watching cotto all these years and seen him hurt and down as many times as i have.

i think cotto takes this one by a decent margin on the decision. however, if clottey is going to win, i think, it is going to come, one way or another, off of a big right hand counter.

i say this after having discussed it on another thread and really hashed out the possibilties of the fight with a lot of you and i think it seems true enough. if cotto starts boxing smoothly and is hitting clottey early, he might get over eager, get jammed up thinking he has his man pinned and give the physically stronger clottey a chance to use his body to make room for a big counter that could change the complexion of the fight and put a ****** wrench in cotto's constant, fluid, quick attack strategy. the other way this could go down is that cotto could win the bulk of the early and middle rounds and then get caught and stopped with a huge counter late if his attack gets a bit sloppy as the wind goes out of him in the late rounds--cotto will, after all, have to be the far busier man to pepper clottey with enough punches and movement to contain him from mauling and taking away cotto's advantages.

cotto is a terrific fighter and the better of the two--between him and clottey. however, that isn't always enough when you are going in one of the hardest, toughest, strongest, biggest guys in the division.

I'm very exited for this fight could go either way and could be very tactical. I would like clottey to win and think that he will. Could be close though, clottey is very technically underated which makes him overlooked. And i think when its said and done he will get a lot more credit for that than he does now.

both cotto and margarito knew how big this fight was and neither fight went in thinking they were "invinsible"

Because if you can't produce a simple source then people assume it's bull****. You understand?

Sometimes its a good idea to produce a link or source....especially on a controversial issue, however this is a simple typical training has started
    quote.

If you want a link to gain more details is understandable, however to question or impune a man's veracity simply because he didn't provide a link is another matter.
