The lack of UK TV deal is getting annoying now! I would happily pay PPV if thats the only way to see it. Anyone have any idea how much money the UK rights would cost? Not that i'm considering a bid just curious!
someone will pick it up last minute. frank warren said on the sun tha setanta have run out of money. he reckoned sky would put it on ppv, although it's a good fight it doesn't warrant ppv. ppv's are becoming far too common, there should be 1 maybe 2 max per year max for the real super fights only.
fight is on about 4 am in the morning our time and i presume the promoter is asking to much money for a graveyard slot. my guess is setanta pick up cards like chavez jnr for relative peanuts but the promoter may want $500lk or so for this fight which sky and setanta cannot make a profit on.
it dosnt make sense that khan is ppv and yet froch our only world champ fighting a quality fighter like tayor dosnt even get air time
Kahn's only in this game for the money and he has a lot of people behind him who will purswade others to do things like put him on ppv etc to make him the most money as fast as possible.
MAN!!!!!!I nearly wet myself (well I did a bit-medical problems), reading this!!I would also happily pay many moneys to watch this, I think more people would watch this then the night of the Pavlik/Rubio, Cotto/Jennings fight. I hope someone snaps it up soon, but in hindsight, I do think Froch could have done a bit more publicity then just insult Calzaghe after the Pascal fight.
probably due to his boxing ignorant fans who like it or lump it support him not for his ability but his race being milked like a collective cash cow by khans team and frankie warren but hey, never give a sucker a break
even if it was £10 rather than the normal £14.99 they'd need 35,000 people to buy to cover the costs mentioned before! surely there is that many boxing fans who would pay that! i know those are poor numbers but with a bit of higher profile advertising i bet sky could get 50,000 plus buys at a tenner.
I wish setanta would just charge more, and then buy up everything. I'd pay 20 quid a month if they took EVERY fight.
Right, there is a cable ya can buy at any electrical shop, that you can from ya computer to your telly, using ya tv as the monitor, and then just stream it. Free, and still get to watch it on the tv. Quality isnt as good, but its not terrible.
I think that maybe the tv companies are feeling the free stream tv pinch. Let's face it, we all know someone that hasn't paid the £16 because they know they can watch it for free on their pc.
