60 to 70,000 is a big crowd and many Brits will be flying out. K2 cards usually have poor undercards. K2 would be wise to get some British ticket sellers on the undercard to give the stadium a buzz, as German crowds are so quiet.
I'd love Pricey to get a crack at someone half decent on the undercard, hopefully he's had a couple of fights between now & then.
Cant see it. the deal Haye has already is bad enough i cant see the the klit camp wanting to encourage anymore brits going over!!!
Try and get as many as possible...... big fight experience for me is important, much more so than being taken the distance by some bum who just runs away all night at a leisure centre somewhere. This is something that Warren ought to do much more..... when his guys are in big events they tend to fall apart (Cook 2 of 3 times for example) - if they have the experience of being on a big show it is bound to help, if only a little.
Hayemaker needs his fighters for his own bills up and down the country so I doubt any wil be on the undercard.
I hope Pricey is on it. Groves looks good as well. Hayemaker have done quite well. They were smart and immediately signed up some good domestic talent. It's about time we have genuine competitors to Warren. Hennessey always seem to miss a step. Maloney's fighters like to leave him, I'm thinking Lewis, Haye and maybe Sutherland when he makes it big
Hayemaker to me will go one of two ways with this.... They will either put a few of them on to give them proper experience of a big fight.... or they will have a 'home bill' (as Sky do for Hatton PPV's) and stick them on there. It is a question of what they believe will benefit the fighters more. I like the idea of getting the guys used to fighting away from home, but because Hayemaker match the kids pretty tough it becomes less of an issue. The likes of Warren and Maloney (Hennessy less so) match their kids a lot easier - the phrase that springs to mind is 'rabbit in headlights' when the big occasion arrives. Maybe it is just me, as an outsider not really understanding the inner sanctum of boxing as I do in rugby and cricket.... but I really don't see the point of fighting the likes of Peter Buckley or Karl Taylor after more than a couple of contests. I hate to bang on, but Alex Matvienko fought some guy called Royston in Wigan, and would have been better served going to the pub with his mates and firing down the sambucas..... he simply wasn't allowed to get within 5 metres of his opponent, who should be banned from boxing and encouraged to take up middle distance running.
A credit to the sport? He 'fought' for six two's and didn't even throw a punch. ***. At least journeymen like Baz Carey turn up and have a bit of a go, I don't mind those.... but ones that are simply abusing the game (like Royston) need to be thrown out. They don't contribute anything!
