The best version of De La Hoya was his first fight with Julio Cesar Chavez in 1996, De La Hoya had 5 game plans leading in to the fight depending on what Chavez done, he had trained 3 whole months for the fight.

What was De La Hoya's best victory ?

The first 8 rounds against Trinidad were masterful

Indeed, but then again you could say the last 4 rounds were the worst of his career..

Good win for De La Hoya, the left hook knockdown was stunning to watch.

He boxed well against Shane Mosley in their second fight, but gave the last rounds away like the Trinidad fight.

I would say Vargas. I think hes one of the most overrated fighters in history. yes hes a ATG and HOF, but to me hes was never great. I never sat there and watched one of his fights when I was like "Damn his the next great one" the first 8 rounds against Trindad was really good

I know it sounds brutal and all but when I see blood, I want more!
