Can you explain me what's your problem with Arreola coming in at 255?

Its a shame I have to do this. But here I go....
George Foreman, who is 6'31/2", and was way more muscular than Chris Arreola debuted as a pro boxer in 1969. The man DID NOT weight in over 240 pound until 1987. That is 19 years later. For his last fight he weighted in at to 260lbs. But I think he was 48y/o for that fight. Arreola is 28y/o. Do you want to drop death by 40y/o???? He needs to lose that ****ing weight.

Even if he grew out of 230 (which is horse **** ontop of more horse****)...there's still a preeeetty big ****ing gap between 230 and 255. ****.

What I personally dont undestand is how they are so fat after training. For me its enough to play basketball once a week to be in decent shape. I only get fat when I absolutely dont do anything and eat junk food.

I think these big overweight heavyweights can't refrain from eating the wrong kind of food, and enormous amounts of it.

I recall after the Walker fight, Arreola said something about him proving he can get his weight (overeating) right. I guess 255 is what he was shooting for?

Carrying that much fat on his frame will not only hinder his stamina in the later rounds as he starts to face better competition, it'll also, as has been said, hurt his footwork, and also hinder his balance. Noone expects him to be in quentissential shape of a David Haye, but between Arreola and Haye is about 50 different degrees of conditioning, not one.

personally i wouldnt dream of stepping into the ring in that kind of shape, firstly cos i'd probably lose by being so out of condition and secondly cos its gotta be ****ing embarrassing. i'm sick of fat, knackered after a few rounds, useless heavies plodding out for dull fights. its just my opinion, and i'm personally biased in this view anyway as i'm trying to maintain a marciano like approach to my training and fitness, but come on, some of these guys dont look like they've done a days training at all when they turn up to fight. where's their pride and professionalism? who's in charge of these guys conditioning? cos it aint working.

Arreola will be ok...he is comfortable at that weight....if he loses more, then that might make him more of a force to contend with. But for now
    let him enjoy his Coronas!!!!

Does Arreola have heavy hands? It is my opinion that Arreola's heavy hands are historical. We'll see if I am right or wrong. At least I have the guts to say what I think. I am not a sissy gullible, following fool like so many on this forum.

I bet you, you thought Lacy was a beast and was gonna Ko Calzaghe easily. So many of you were fooled into thinking Calzaghe sucked and Lacy was a beast. I say what I like, and I stand by what I say.

I also said, that no one has been able to successfully tie up Arreola. Am I wrong? You think McCline will pop Arreola with ease as he tries to go after McCLine, but Arreola is gonna walk right up to McCline and Ko him, and Mccline will try to tie him up, and he will go "Oh, fu**!" Arreola is gonna Ko his butt bad. You watch and see. You can't tie up and hold Arreola, this guy is a beast.

I eat junk food as well and a lot of it but when I train I burn it off. I wont have a six pack obviously when eating at Mcdonalds but I will not have a guy either when I train. The only reasonable answer to me is either these guys dont train for fights or if they hadnt trained they would have weighted over 300 lbs.

Because it looks like he didn't even train. Seriously, it's like he has not lifted a weight, done any roadwork, or even sparred hard.

Maybe he needs the blubber for better insulation and protection from powerful belly punches.

The fact is if he came into the ring in shape he would be that much better.

There's the plain and simple answer to this thread. Now stop nuthugging this fat **** he's a disgrace to HW boxing.

Just so we have this straight:

    - we didn't have enough info on Lacy and he was misjudged as more than the 1-dimensional fighter he was... even though he'd fought a number of top-10 guys in his division and won a belt before stepping up against the class of the division.

    - we DO have enough info on Aerreola who has fought nobody in the top 20, was lucky to win his last fight and clearly has a training/dedication problem. We know SO much about his heavy-handedness and the vaunted "ability to tie people up" that conditioning simply doesn't matter.

Hell, he may win this fight (I think he will) - he's fighting an out-of-shape old man, after all. If you think that somehow shows 255 is a good weight for him, you're crazy. This isn't about following the crowd, it's about common sense.
