    Thats my take as well.

Wouldn't surprise me if Winky won, but as a prediction I lean towards Williams to pull out a tight decision on workrate, maybe even a controversial decision:hey

Yea, but we're talking about a guy (Williams) who hits a lot vs a very accurate puncher. It's hard to hit Wright clean because of his shell defense though punches will get through but they won't be noticeable. I expect Wright to land the clean punches that you'll remember. It's just a matter if he lands enough or the judges may favor William's high workrate though less effective.

If Winky's comeback fight were against a guy who stood in front of him, like an Angulo or a James Kirkland, then I'd give him a good shot to win - but he's up against a tall, rangy, mobile, slick southpaw non-stop punching machine who's kept a busy fighting schedule.

That's just the wrong guy to face when you're 37 years old following 21-months of ring rust and no tune-up.

Winky will keep it competitive for a while.
But don't be shocked to see this highly-touted defensive wizard getting tagged more often than ever before.
He's going to hang in there because he's got pride and he's durable - but it's going to get pretty one-sided down the stretch.

Basically, the aging Winky lacks the power and volume-punching to win the fight.

not going to sit here and try to convince anyone why i think winky will win but i believe a winky of any stage of him former self wouldve beaten Paul williams in a lopsided decision and now i think he may pull this off because of being the more "natural" at the weight. as well as PW showing that he can have some difficulty with Quintana at 147 who doesnt have half of what wright has ever had and oh yeah winky has a much better chin so this is going the distance.

williams is no BHop and i think it takes a lot rougher fighter than williams to beat him.

but i am biased one of my all time favorites vs one of my new favorites.

    50%

He will be in the fight but just won't win enough rounds in the end. I'd hate to see him lose.

    Williams UD.

I'm thinking Winky will spoil whatever Williams throws at him, inactivity or not I see Wright pulling through with a decision.

Good post fan. You hit the nail right on the fuking head. Winky probably see's a way to beat PW, but the inactivity, height, reach, power, speed and output disadvantages are just too much for an agieng fighter dropping down in weight to fight an excellent younger fighter. I give hime a 20% chance at absolute best. Hope im wrong and he make sit an interesting fight as he was an exceptional boxer, but again I think PW will be too much for him.

    I'd give him a 42.39% tonite.

    He's old and been inactive.

The younger more active PW wins tonite.

Its gonna be close but PW takes it.

Which is good for boxing it needs young stars.
