Ali was the piece of **** when it came to those 2.

Cant blame Frazier after all the help he gave Ali only to have him turn around and take shot after shot at him.

I highly doubt any of the above mentioned had their kids beaten at school over what someone else said about their dad.

Seriously. People who speak about this subject in a "Get over it" fashion like the post I've quoted show a complete lack of understanding of the situation.

One man managed to completely wreck the livelihood of another and his family...and he's supposed to be okay with that?

    Seriously?

well judging by overly simplistic statements you've made like "Ali apologized" when he made sure to do so when Joe wasn't around, and "it was all to promote the fight," make it seem like you've been told the story of Ali vs Frazier, but weren't able to comprehend the story that was just told.

So, in Larry Smiths world, it's ok to tell Joe that he was less than a man, a gorilla in fact, knowing damn well what it meant to call a black man a gorilla, as long as you apologize years after the fact? If ANY of Ali's white opponents had ever said some **** like that to Ali, it would have been a riotous event, but it's ok for Ali to say that to Frazier? Well, I guess it's ok for a proven hypocrite.

You're disrespecting Smokes as some sort of sore loser. If someone stabs you in the back, insults your family and your background, makes a clown of you in public etc. you're legitimate in feeling aggrieved....

He is rightfully bitter. Easy for you to throw rocks at the man, having not walked in his footsteps.

    BULL ****IN ****!!!

Try the other way around, fool! Like the **** Ali said was absolutely herendous for a black man to say to another black man. And don't tell me he was hyping the fights. That ****er was a disrespectful idiot & when Joe kicked his ass, dropped him in the 15 round & made his jaw swell like a watermelon from all those left hooks he ate was the best thing I ever witnessed in a boxing ring.

Frazier shut that assholes mouth...BIGTIME! And Ali never did what he said he'd do if Joe beat him...crawl across the ring & tell Joe "he was the greatest."

And even featherfisted but very skilled Jimmy Young SCHOOLED the **** outta Ali, but was robbed in maybe one of the worst gift decsion ever handed out.

    Yeah...think about that!:fire

Thank you. This thread starter can't be serious. Prob trying to drum up controversy, thats all.

But I still had to let him have it.

There was another special about their 1st fight in MSG. Ali's dressing room was like feeding time at the zoo, with all his peeps & the screaming going on.

While in Joe's dressing room he sat alone...with God. He prayed, "Lord, please give me the strenght to kill this man, cuase he ain't rightious."

Best boxing quote in the history of the sport!:good
