Only techically speaking. Lewis got lucky with the cut. It was not caused by a heavy punch. It was more of a slip. That's all. No one would ever know how the fight would have gone without the cut. The cut was the key in the fight.

 

Those guys did not really beat Vitaliy.

Becuase it was not a solid punch. His glove slipped. It was a hard punch or accumulation of many punches. Vitaliy was hurt only bacause of the cut. Lewis was hurt because Vitaliy was outboxing him.
