You are the biggest ***** on this forum, you jumped bandwagons from floyd to Cotto to margo to clottey and i'm guessing now you are Paul Williams 'biggest fan':patsch

Listen, Sugar gave him trouble when they fought at MSG! I believe sugar won that fight but hey who am I? And then he got whoped by Margarito(who knows what was in those gloves but either way he got hit too much anyways). Then Shane smashes Margarito into submission like no other ever has. (with known plaster). Long story short, clottey has the speed to really touble cotto who telagraphs his punches and over times his counters too much. Im taking Clottey!:blurp

I think Clottey will be stronger than Cotto (not necessarily bigger) and I take this by the way he was able to handle Margarito's size compared to Cotto and the fact that Clottey is really pure muscle at 157 or around the weight and has never been seriously hurt before. I think the Clottey not chasing Cotto is not a big deal, I think they will switch up once in a while on the aggresor role and the counter puncher, which could be argued that Cotto is more well rounded around both styles while Clottey is mostly better at counter punching. Clotteys arsenal does include punches which Cotto has been susceptible to, but that's where the training comes in and how well they prepare for the fight. You make good points, and Clottey is going to give Cotto fits, however I think Cotto's class is going to show after a few rounds when he (hopefully, because who really knows...) adjusts to Clotteys style and what he tries to bring into the ring.

I am expecting a good scrap. Both guys will put a hurting on eachother, though i don't think Clottey has the aggression to stop Cotto nor the work rate to get the decision. Cotto by close decision for me, in an entertaining fight.

that's funny, I thought I had made a post saying some people are overrating Cotto's speed, but I can't see it... oh well, I do think some people are overrating Cotto's speed. I think he susceptibly fast, but not really fast, he just has good timing and accuracy.

I only say clottey will come to the ring bloated is because he comes into the ring @ 160-170... some how he gains that much weigh back..... cotto tends to stay around 145-155 if my memory serves me correctly...

And yeah Cotto is a class higher then clottey but that is only defined by who Cotto has beating.... Cotto has never fought someone with so much range of defensive & offensive ability... so its going to be irrelevant... Cotto is just going to have to come up with the perfect game plan.. because if Cotto Comes forward hes going to get tagged up when they get close...

I also should clarify what I mean in "clottey wont chase Cotto" ... when i say that i mean clottey wont be over agressive in coming forward.... he just takes his time and casually comes forward ... i think to beat clottey you have to stay away from the inside and work from the inside & off your back foot... i dont know if cotto can do that

he wont have to do this cause cotto will be there for him...... Cotto prefers to come forward and Clottey wont chase him over aggressively.... Cotto will be there

Cotto Might be able to capitalize off clottey's over aggressiveness but for that to be the case cotto is going to have to eat a couple....

Cotto can also 'run' when he needs to, also you guys are underrating Cotto's chin a little too much, he doesn't wobble with every single punch, it took Margo 11 rounds of non stop punches to make him take a knee.

Cotto's stated he considers himself more of a boxer then a fighter, and ever since he outboxed Shane he fell in love with his own boxing abilities

but uhhh.....i don't think Cotto's gonna press him for 3minutes straight round after round like you think, i think he'll spend the 1st five or so rounds trying to walk him down, then when he realizes Clottey ain't going no where he'll get into boxing mode and outpoint him

I doubt that Clottey is very tough. If the loaded glove Margo couldn't stop Clottey who had a bad hand. How in the heck is Cotto going to stop him? Cotto might win but he won't stop Clottey. Not to mention this trainer change is going to effect Cotto more than people think.

    What about it?

Judah is a powerful puncher, so Cotto wobbled twice?
