yeah, yeah... maybe he would but he won't. we all know why...
so maybe he wants this fight because of it? maybe it's time for redemption? anyway - i don't really want to know, i just wanna see him with someone interesting. Roy is a great fighter for me - Adamek is in this moment the best cruiser, surely most exciting in his weight class and he's still getting bigger. All they've got to do is organise it :deal

Roy's only chance is to outbox him over 12 rounds. I don't think he can stop Adamek (though it's a very slim chance) and I don't think he can go twelve rounds with someone as young and energetic as Adamek.

Joe C let Roy off the hook. Adamek won't.

Adamek by stoppage when Roy runs out of gas, let's say the sixth.

Shame, I'm a big Roy fan.

First off I'll start this off by saying this. Did Sugar fight McCallum? Ali I have nothing to say about since he is the best fighter of all times that I saw. now to the top of your list. Being that I was in the moment when this was going on like other fans, Roy and DM should've fought. Both fighters were to blame for the fight not being made.

Jones and Jackson was a fight that was never going to be made because McClellan got to him first. Jones and Hop fought shortly after Gerald took Jackson out in 5 for jones first title. MCClellan and Jones was a fight being brewed, but never materialized because of what happened to Gerald.

Jones openly challenged Benn who either didn't want the fight, or was not into boxing enough to take the fight after what he did to McClellan-illegal rabbits shots and all. Eubank was just scared. The public showed no interest in this fight. Jones and Toney was the big fight at 168. Jirov was a guy who along with other fighters was being talked about as possibilities of who jones could fight when he moved up in weight, but he was never a mandatory. Jones went on to fight Ruiz while Jirov was losing to Toney so that squashed that fight. I do agree Jone's should've fought the Hopkins rematch.

Collins was a fighter who lost to Johnson and McCallum-both fights I saw, and he beat...you guessed it, Eubank and Benn. Benn didn't want to fight anymore. The elite super middles and middles were here in America at that time, and Collins never beat any of them to warrant a shot with Roy. Wikipedia can tell what a fighter wished, wanted to do, but facts are facts. People say Jones should've fought Nunn. Graciano Roccoghiani earned a shot against Jones, but disappeared as HBO told us, and then came up and fought Nunn who he lost to. The public did not have interest in a Jones-Nunn fight because Nunn was perceived as done.
All in all, none of these guys were mandatories...none of them. You tried to name punchers Roy avoided, and that is a bit phony...but it only told me that you weren't following boxing then. No offense!

Collins was a tough fighter. He was not in Jones class though.

He hit Percy Harris with four hooks at one time.

    Adamek doesn't stand a chance

Apparently, Roy was smart enough to avoid what would have inevitably been a disaster for him. Too bad.

Benn was shot by the time Jones appeared on his radar.... Eubank less so, but there was big money to be made here so why go to America?
