I think martinez will beat Donaire convincingly. Everybody's knock on martinez is that he's too green but he's had more fights then donaire albeit against lesser competiton, although donaire wasnt exactly fighting world beaters untill darchinyian. Martinez is patient with speed and power, watch his fight against victor proa who 26-0-2 before there fight, he sets him up perfectly before landing the knockout blows, although im biased living in San antonio i truly believe raul will bring the title to SA.
Martinez by clear UD. Go COBRITA

I can't remember the last time when an untested prospect was regarded as such a live underdog against a bonafide champ.. But it's pretty obvious that Martinez is a bad ass dude and he's going to make a fight out of it.. Can't sleep on martinez that's for sure.

Donaire has everything to lose here. (Pressure will be at an all-time high for him)
    Will be one to watch.

indeed... especially someone who's riding on a streak... I see it as
    1. Martinez gets overconfident and careless, like many people on a winning streak and Donaire prevails
    2. Martinez plays it right and doesn't let Donaire set the tempo.
    3. Donaire sets the tempo and has a gameplan that involves counters
    4. Martinez pressures the hell out of him

Donaire experienced defeat and that's the best learning experience. Martinez has yet to learn of its ramifications.

My money is on Cobrita. Its in his blood already, and he is hungry. Cobrita had the perfect tune up fight against Proa, confidence goes a long way in any sport. But lets not forget about defense. Nonito had an early lost and has proven himself on forward, but Martinez has what it takes to win, in my opinion. Power, Speed, Defense. It is said. who ever fights best that night, wins. A good match indeed...Vamos Cobrita, bring another belt to count down city.

Let's correct something though... The thread should be Donaire VS Martinez and not the other way around.. Give the champion some respect...

    Donaire VS Martinez

I laugh whenever someone says that Donaire will lose because of his inactivity and that he lost his hunger??? LOL wherever they got that idea...

First of all, it's not like he's been sitting on his ass the whole time... He was training hard and i mean real hard and a young fighter like him doesnt get too affected by long layoffs. Inactivities usually affects the older fighters, not a fighter in its peak like donaire..

ANd no, Donaire hasn't lost his hunger.. IF anything, he's hungrier than he ever was..
