Floyd doesnt go around beating up 40+ old fighters and says he's now a legend b/c he beat great legend. Calzaghe is a joke.

Floyd needs to make better fights, i agree with you there.

    Listen...Im not stupid.

Calzaghe is exceptionally good fighter....but hes no ATG.

He has an exceptionally manufactured record...as Frank Warren said

"JOES Career was text book" ....(for a Warren fighter YES!) hes the master of risk management.

Ill give you an example...alot of people are giving Pavlik stick here...but I have respect for him.

He was the no:1 Middleweight...he could have made mandatories all day long...and waited till he was tight at the weight...but guess what

he jumped outside his comfort zone...and went after BHOP..

He though he could beat Bhop decisively and force a fight with JOE.

he failed..but he had the balls to roll the dice.

Do you think Calzaghe would have ever jumped in the middle of his Bogus WBO supermiddle reign to light heavy to challenge a Light Heaby challenegr to get noticed by JONES?????

no ****ING WAY!!! thats the difference.

As far as Joe's fans go, he's already a legend and has nothing else to prove...:lol: JOKE!!!!!!

As far as Floyd fighting Paul? No ****ing way - Pauls a freak and should stay at 154 and 160. No way PBF @ 147 should be fighting that giant. He can however fight Cotto, Pac, Cottey, etc...

Would anyone have accepted a big risk/low reward fight with a lesser-known European fighter?

    It works both ways mate.

Can I just ask, why do you only seem to comment and make threads that show Calzaghe in a negative light?

Why don't you comment on all the other threads and stuff?

Or are you just an alt account?

Either way it's a bit pathetic.

If you have me pegged as some rabid nuthugger you are dead wrong.

I'm not suprised that you refuse to answer a simple question.

The fighter makes the belt brain drain. Hopkins defended his IBF/WBC titles against of load of absolute BUMS. :hi:

How DARE you try to compare a guy who Hopkins took to the slaughterhouse with an ATG who took Hopkins to the slaughterhouse.
Just as Hopkins astonished Pavlik with his in ring know all, so Joe astonished both Hopkins and Cortez with his heart, will, stamina, relentlesness, aggression, and most of all his ability to adapt to - up until Calzaghe - the most adaptable boxer on the planet.

I always laugh when people here act like they thought Lacy was going to get beat.

Anyone that was here on ESB knows that 80% of you nuthuggers thought Lacy was going to KO Calzaghe. I remember all the threads and posts.

Now those very SAME people after the fight said "man, I knew Lacy was all hype and overrated" etc.

The same thing is going on right now for the Wlad/Haye fight. People are making Glass Jawed David Haye out to be a fighter with the speed of Ali and the power of Foreman. After he gets his Glass Jaw shattered it will be "man, I knew Haye was all hype and overrated" etc.

    Same story different year.

I love revisionist history on here when people always knew fighter X was overrated after making countless posts that said the opposite.

    :lol::rofl:patsch

The Americans are now claiming Vietnam was a draw. The Yanks were past their prime at the time so the result doesn`t count.
