Every so often maybe 2 times a year we get these "superfights" as they are called. Not like usual other fights, these so called superfights (which as of the past years usually have invloved De La Hoya) gain the attn of the general public and media. They sell out and do big PPV numbers. But as we all know, fights that the general public get excited for and watch (De La Hoya V Mayweather, Lewis V Tyson e.t.c) usually dont do it for the boxing fans. We know our sport and get more excited for big boxing fights but not these so called "superfights" (JMM V Diaz, Marquez V Vasquez e.t.c) So what is the May 2nd fight for you? Its being marketed and sold as a true superfight and one that may do the big numbers. But what is it to us? Are we excited for this fight? Is it a true superfight to you or is it more of a De La Hoya V Mayweather fight to you (A so called superfight but something not to get excited for). Or is it somewhere in between? Discuss and vote
i wont be watching it because im absolultely skint, but i really cant wait to watch it when its repeated
You could probably catch it on YouTube the following day or <whispers> you could always download it...
yeh i suppose, last time i tried to watch a fight the day after on youtube the quality was shite i would rather wait honest
This is one PPV that I will be buying. In my eyes it is definitely a Superfight. Will be the first PPV I've bought since Hatton-Mayweather.
well i think that's unanimous... 2 of the worlds most agressive fighters, both in the elite fighters bracket, both very likable and more than likely the 2 biggest fan attractions in the sport going toe to toe how can it not be a superfight?
A true SuperFIGHT! I'm excited for this and cannot wait! "Fight" Being the key word, Well it was.... let's wait & see what Sr. has done to Hatton.
a real superfight for boxing fans and this is the fight that could win more fans to the sport. my fear tho is with all this lengthy wait and fighter buildup, what if a kd happens in the opening seconds of the 1st round and leave us all unsatiated. bummer.
aint ****, hatton isnt that good. im not sure if im buying the idea of the new and improved hatton either. dude takes a beating from lazcano, and then beats and injured malinaggi and all of a sudden everyones in aww of his new boxing ability. now if manny can meet floyd at say 143-144(no way in hell floyds making 140 at his age) that would be a more believable super fight.
