    GO ADRIAN :happy :happy :happy

But pls be gentle ... Chad is not as bad as they say he is ... so he deserves to live .

All it takes is one punch ( that will even the speed and the skills between the two fighters). The second punch will end a promising career. :deal

I don't think motivation is that big a factor for a young undefeated champion making his first title defence.

He would be on top of the world at the moment and looking to cement a legacy. Maybe at the later stages of his career but definitely not now, especially against a dangerous opponent.

When your a pro fighter, and have been for a very long time, with a team around you watching and monitoring your every move, IMO the chances of motivational problems occuring are very slim.

Still, if thats you opinion fair enough, I just don't particularly agree.

I will root for the Romanian, but I would be surprised if he knocked out Dawson.IMO he wont be able to win a point decision against the slick and skilled American.

I will not so much root for the Romanian, as hope that he sticks to his gameplan, fights pluckily and aggressively, to win. I will root for a boxing masterclass from Dawson. If both fighters do the thing they have to do to win to the best of their abilities, it should be a very entertaining fight, and great for both of their careers, win or lose. :happy

Diaconu CANNOT possibly outbox Dawson, so he cannot win by decision unless it comes down to a couple of KDs...but the way I see it, Diaconu won't KD Dawson more than once without in fact KOing him or TKOing him...so, 30% chance of a Diaconu KO/TKO and 70% chance of a Dawson wide UD. That is how I see it.

The motivation of Dawson was never in any doubt. On the other hand, given the difference in class between the two, and the fact that Dawson is the massive favourite, one would expect Diaconu to not be fully turned on for this, thinking that he can really win it, save by some lucky punch. My point was that Diaconu really DOES think he can beat Dawson, will train as such, and is likely to fight as such. Hope I'm not wrong about the last bit. :D

I am surprised to see how u guys give so little chance to Diaconu. He is stronger and dangerous. Those slicky boxers dont have a chance unless they run all the fight or they pack some serious power. U think that a couple of jabs will keep Diaconu away? The overated here is Chad.

After losing cash on Holt because of his low punch resistance I might have another look at Dawson on account of him hitting the canvas when he gets tagged. He is 10 times the boxers Diaconu is but that didn't matter much in the Holt vs Torres fight

    This is his 2nd defence.
But Dawson should win this fight handlily, people refer to him getting dropped by Adamek, well Adamek is one good fighter.

True, but it's how he reacted after being dropped that should be worrysome for his trainers...

Basically put, while watching this fight, I thought Diaconu had no chance whatsoever of winning against Dawson. Dawson looked too quick and skilled... But after he went down, and the way he boxed after that, I think it's perfectly reasonable to believe that Diaconu may have a chance of pulling off an upset...

...and maybe that's why Mayweather Sr. left team Dawson, 'cause he didn't want to be held responsible for the upset of year... :yep
