Carl froch just so happens to be training for his fight against JT at a gym 10 minutes from my house and since the chances of a champion training for a big fight near my house is slim, i decided to check it out. I called the gym and they said they weren't really accepting visitors but asked how many people i'd be bringing and i said 'two' he said 'come on down'

i got there and carl froch was on the ground stretching outside the ring, he definitely looked like he was in the zone. He had this '**** off' look to him, he was real quiet..i don't think i heard him say a word the whole time i was there. Not one

while he was stretching, i saw somebody in a hummer pull up and out comes jean pascal! I had totally forgot he joined the Froch camp. He walked in and he was all smiles, saying hi to everybody. By this point, froch was in the ring sparring. he began stretching as he was going to be the 2nd guy sparring froch. While he was, i asked if we could get a pic which he seemed totally cool with. I felt bad that i may have been a distraction but jean was cool as hell.

I tried to get a shot of froch and jean sparring but the camera was ****ing up.

Froch keeps his hands realllly low, a lot lower than I thought. and he is even slower than i thought. I know its just sparring but i really think taylor is going to do something nasty to him. he got hit flush quite a few times by jabs.

i also noticed that boxers look way the hell bigger on Tv than in person.

Haha, Pascal seems like a chill dude. Where were these guys sparring? I have not even heard that Froch was sparring with Pascal.

Most of our boxers here seem pretty ok. I met Joachim Alcine not too long ago and he stopped by and answered everything I asked him. He must have been shocked that someone actually recognized him where I worked :p

I'm hoping we get more quality fights like Holt-Bradley and Andrade-Tsypko in Montreal in the future. Its very rare that I can fly to Vegas and see a quality fight so its nice when the quality fights come to me :thumbsup

How did you enjoy that card by the way?

i loved it from top to bottom except maybe for Diaconu whom I think is overrated. Apart from that every single fight was entertaining.

If i remember correctly i saw 5 fights total.

The first one was a super bantamweight called pier olivier coté who looks like he has a future on the world stage he is very fast and impressed me.

Second was PAul Clavette the guy who lost to Ronald Hearns on the Bute-Andrade undercard against some tough guy who was short and very strong it was a classic boxer vs puncher and entertaining while it lasted.

Diaconu vs David Whittom was OK.

Andrade vs Tsypko and Holt vs BRadley were both awesome fights.

Nice one on calling ahead and asking if you could take a look. A little bit of courtesy goes a long way.

If Taylor actually trains and wants to win: Taylor UD 12, (8-2-2).
