Ill admit, He is no James Toney or Mayweather, but after watching most of his fights, the man has some skill. He has good footwork, his head movement is decent when he tries it, and he keeps his hands low akin to what many people would relate as a "boxer style". Just because he can give a good shot, and take a good shot, and is prone to getting into brawls dosent mean he is 1 dimensional as many posters here will lead you to beleive. It is more of his pride that brings out the brawling, rather than his lack of skill :deal When he outboxed bell.... most people said bell was shot. when he kept up with a technician like cunigham people claimed that was a fluke. What are the haters gonna say next :-(

Ill tell you now, Adamek is no kelly pavlik, he would not be outskilled by bhop. Hed stop him in 6

no he would not stop him in 6.

If you think Cunningham is a technician, well Hopkins makes Cunningham look like a 1 dimensional slugger.

Cunningham could not miss his face. Especially round 3 or 4 I think.

You won't see me sleeping on Adamek.

But it's safe to say his offense is better than his defense.

He'd beat Hopkins by UD. Nobody south of heavyweight stops Old Man River that early.

Hopkins wins by TKO in the later rounds

I'm not even sure he'd beat Hopkins.

I imagine it being close and competitive, though.

I think if Adamek fought Hopkins he would win.

Personaaly for everyone who says Hopkins is all wrong for Adamek i would say it is the other way around.

Hopkins could not deal with Calzaghes pressure and workrate towards the end of the fight and in Adamek he would be facing a much bigger, stronger and harder hitting fighter than Calzaghe and a guy who would not give up after 4 rounds if the fight wasnt going his way like Pavlik did.

    Adamek UD

My problem with Adamek in a fight with Hopkins is that he gets hit too easy. I actaully think that it would be a repeat of Hopkins Pavlik. I have said it many times on this subject, Adamek is too inactive in the ring to beat Hopkins. I think that he has a punchers chances but that is about it.

You left out a few important factors in comparing Joe to Adamek...Joe is much much much much faster, and much much much more busy in the ring. And that is what gave Hopkins problems, not pressure, power punching and strengh.

Strange: Until this point I always thought Adamak was much supported on this forum?!

    It's easy:

Positive thread about a fighter - naysayers wake

Negative thread about a fighter - defenders arrive

Adamek's boxing skill was really only displayed once and that was against a shot unmotivated Bell.

Hopkins would potshot and hold Adamek to a wide UD fight.

he has infighting skills, on the inside he's very refined for a fighter but........on the outside he's a lost lamb, i dont even think he knows what a double jab is

but on a positive note, his handspeeds underrated

Basing on what? Fight with Cunningham who has hands long like spears? Adamek's jab is very good, especially left. He was tought how to box in Poland, where left jab and classic boxing stance are basics.

True, his combos are one of the best in heavy divisions
