    Not true, maybe for a third world country, but South Korea and Japan have better literacy rates. Those two countries have the benefit of being two of the top 30 industrialized countries in the world though.

    Poor - yes, less educated - no. What enzo says is true, so I don't know where Finito is getting his ethnocentric attitude from.

    Regarding the peasant comment, you do what you have to do to survive. I'm not ashamed to accept the fact that Filipinos work as domestic helpers in other countries. Maybe it makes him feel better about himself by calling us peasants. I feel like it has benefitted us look at where it has gotten us, hard work will pay off eventually.

    I really never got the fuss bout this. This should be a badge of honor. Someone onced commented to me that the Philippines are popular for good maids and nurses. She had no inkling of condescension whatsoever. As if she wanted me to know this fact.

    I don't even think Manny Koreans supported him. Early pacquiao fights you heard more cheering for the opposition. now, the Pacquiao crowd is louder than the opposition

    Looked down by Chinese/Vietnamese? Where do you base this from? I find this insulting to both the Chinese and Vietnamese. First of all, the Chinese don't look down on the Filipinos, 2nd, I'm pretty sure the Philippines is not "poorer" than Vietnam.

    Before you write or blabber anything, you might wanna check your information. Perhaps google, wikipedia, or anything that will help you inform, rather than pulling info out of ur ass.
