another very good article about a typical German boxing fraud http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=19495&more=1 Adnan and Universum are embarrsising
you say it like its not true. All the Euros get robbed in the US, Sturm, Lewis the list goes on and on.
And people criticised Abraham for fighting Simon and Marquez. Look at Sato, this guy is a joke. Good record on paper, but to watch him on film he is truly shocking. However, Sturm isn't great himself nowadays, so if Sato can catch him who knows :rofl I say Sturm by UD, as I have no basis for claiming Sato can be stopped. However, if he's protected as his record suggests, I'll assume he hasn't got the greatest punch resistance, so Sturm by stoppage around the 6th.
Sad thing is, Sturm has a lot of potential - he's more skilled than Abraham, Pavlik and arguably also Williams. But he knows that he has a weak chin and no big punch, that's why he plays it safe at home fighting 2nd tiers. However, fighting a guy like Sato now is ridiculous, he's making fun of the boxing public, and I hope this move fires back on him and that Sato scores a huge upset (it nearly happened two years ago already, in the first Randy Griffin fight, where Sturm got saved by the judges). Sturm is a clever guy and he knows he can make tons of cash that way without much risk, holding his belt hostage. Kohl and Universum think the same way, however the german boxing public should put pressure on this guy and boycott his fights so that the TV station ZDF demands better opponents. The situation is exactly the same with Zsolt Erdei. Even casual boxing viewers start getting fed up with these two. I understand Sturm doesn't want to travel to the US anymore, since he got robbed there against ODLH. Still, he could get good fights on his home-turf (like Abraham, who is willing to fight him). Ironically, Sturms loss to ODLH is also his best 'win'. Other than that, he has dominated Sebastian Sylvester, who is decent, and beat a past his best Javier Castillejo (who knocked him out in their first encounter), and that's basically it. Not much to brag about.
i agree, sturm is very talented, that's why it's even more frustrating. he has a great jab, great movement and stamina. after the odlh fight he tried to become a banger, but got stopped by the smallish castillejo and went back to a more pure boxer style. i don't think the german viewers get fed up with sturm's choice of opponents. 95% of them don't know another mw-fighter except abraham, so universum can basically take anybody and sell it to them as another 'dangerous opponent' for sturm.
If my location still appears it will show that I am from London. I thought Felix Sturm beat Oscar, so did most fans, but most of the publications thought it could have gone either way. The way some people talk about that fight you'd think that Sturm should have won by 6-7 rounds  It was a close fight... Secondly, so much for Lewis. The old saying says that "An empty engine makes the most noise" and it has never been more appropiate for Lewis vs Holyfield 1. I had it 116-114 to Lewis with 2 shared rounds. Give the shared rounds to Holyfield and it's a draw which is how the ENGLISH judge saw it. Yes an American judge, rather outrageously, gave it to Holyfield but an ENGLISH judge saw it as a draw....
