I think he is the most underrated because he is the most scurtinized...

People scrutinize every punch he ever takes...

Every fight for the rest of his career, people will exhume the dead body of Carlos Quintana. WTF!?!?!

i think you might be right about that...i am not really a huge williams fan, but hopkins is getting, now, awfully old and the cinderella agelessness cannot last forever--i don't take anything away from b-hop's achievements, he has shocked my expectations more than once, but, you know, it's just a matter of time.

additionally, hopkins v. williams wouldn't go the way hopkins v. pavlik did, no how, no way. pavlik was (and is) easy pickins for a fighter with real, technical pure boxing skills who can fight comfortably and coolly at range and control the action away from a phonebooth brawl on the inside. the extra ten pounds hurt pavlik because he is one of those unusual guys with a body cut out for one division or one weight. williams has looked comfortable and carried weight well in three divisions now and he is not an open book for a technician veteran like hopkins. i think hopkins would struggle to control the long jab of williams and would be irritated by those straight, long shot to the body throwing him off balance. i can't say what the result might be, but it wouldn't be by a big margin, whoever took the fight...williams is too busy and attacks a cover-up defense from too many angles with such a variety of punches that hopkins would have to adjust, sitting in the pocket and waiting wouldn't cut it.

You still have to favor BHop at this point. But PW definitely has an opening. If he can keep his distance and work a few shots to the body, we all know who will be the one to tire much quicker...

PW will throw bombs from 82" away from rounds 9-12, with little resistence from the old man. If Paul can keep it close the first 8 rounds without getting hurt, he should comfortably take the last 4 on workrate alone.

pretty much.... i only explain my thoughts with the more respected posters but pretty much....

    bhop doesnt like activity
    bhop doesnt like awkwardness
bhop is getting up there in age

like someone said you would have to favor bhop due to his resume and just off the fact that its bhop... but once again it could end up just being a bad match up for bhop....but we woudl have to see it to know

I don't think Paul can make 170lbs though. I think he would need to eat a whole pig the day before the weigh in. But there is no way B-Hop takes this fight at his age.

How do you figure Hasegawa has been building up a nice resume lately?

    How is he underappreciated?

Walkwithme appreciates him 1000x more than any of us ever could combined.

Seriously this guy isn't underappreciated or underrated. Hell I've seen people posting about how he's unbeatable at 154 down. Howse that underrated?

I'd like to direct you to the "I hate Manny Pacquiao" thread. Nothing anyone has said about Paul comes CLOSE to that.

Wow, I really don't think Paul has the built to go all the way to LightHeavy yet, but then again, he knows his body much better than us the fans.
