Joe can fight pretty well even with his hands broken...his china hands affect the way he trains and his style more generally, but I don't think it affects the way he fights on the night...i.e. I don't think he says to himself in the middle of the fight: "****...I'd better change my style or strategy, because I have just broken my hands..."

 

Funny - my perception of it is the exact opposite. I can think of one or two Kessler fanatics only who'll say this is gonna be an easy Kessler win/early KO.

On the other hand I see lots of ridiculous comments about Calzaghe steamrolling Kessler within a few rounds.

I have a lot of faith in Kessler - but only give him a modest 55-60% chance of winning this fight.

Due to styles (Kessler's counter-abilities being SERIOUSLY underrated by Calzaghe Huggers and Calzaghe's perhaps less than carefull aproach - especially after getting hit) i think there's actually a good chance Kessler might KO Calzaghe. But that's NOT bc i think the fight is gonna be easy at all.
There's a definite possibility i'll end up seeing Kessler frustrated, bevildered, unable to cope with Calzaghe's speed. I just see a bigger chance that Calzaghe is the one who won't be able to impose his usual controll in this fight, get frustrated and make mistakes that'll get exploited by a patient and methotical Kessler.

 

i've seen a few people predict a dominant calzaghe performance and possible late stoppage, but you're talking bollocks when you say you've seen lots of calzaghe early stoppage predictions. i have not seen one of these.
