For a HW he is fast. I don't think he's blindingly fast like some may think, but definitely above average. However, Wlad is fast too...it's going to be interesting.
Gomez would knock Haye out. Hide was much faster than Haye. Vitali and Vlad are faster than Haye. Haye's punches are too wide and he is off balance, he will get knocked out.
Excellent. However he doesn't get good leverage and his punches are kinda wide but his speed is excellnt IMO but Evander had slightly better speed.
His hands are fast, but he throws them too wide, which negates some of that speed. A lot of people seem to forget about footspeed, though, which does not appear to be anything special. I think Haye's footwork will be more important in this fight than his fast hands, because he will have to move alot in order to have a chance.
He has the best right hand since Lennox. He blinds u with a feint (Jab) that deliberatley misses the target then throws the right straight after.
Depends how you judge it. holy wasn't as quick, i don't think - but you could put in an argument that he had the best combos at tremendous pace. Lewis is my all-time favourite fighter, but you could only put in an argument for his overhand right very early in his career when it lacked the accuracy of the 29-yrs old or so plus version. For me, he's the heavy who throws the quickest with proper venom in very shot right about now. However, his accuracy was a little questionable vs Barrett - not a problem that he's had in most fights. Maybe he's trying to impress?
Putting weight on does decrease speed. Its a load of rubbish when fighters say its not affected when they step up in weight. If you look at early Lewis, pre 98 he was lightning especially in the Ruddock fight but that speed decreased quite abit as he gained weight towards the end of his career.Stepping up in weight,Haye will lose some speed and from what ive seen, hes not quite as fast as his early cruiser days although still very quick. With Haye stepping up,particularly with his muscle mass and Vlad as quick as he is speed shouldnt be too much of a factor in this fight.
